Azzi Fudd is now a starter for the USA U-19 team in Hungary. Here are her stats highlights:
1. In 5 games, Fudd is averaging 22.8 minutes per game. 2. Overall, she is shooting 61.3% from the field. She is 19-31. 3. Amazingly, she is hitting 61.5% inside the 3 pt arc & 61.1% from three range. 4. From three, Azzi is 11-18. She has 22 assists and only 6 turnovers. 5. She has only 3 fouls and 49 total points. 6. Fudd has not yet tried a free throw.
Given all the scoring punch on the USA team, Azzi is still averaging 10 pts per contest and playing great defense.
Go Azzi..!
Go USA..!

Just in comparison here are Bueckers numbers from the 2019 U19:
In 7 games she played 27 min/game, averaged 11 pts/game, shot 36-83 fg; (6-17 3pt) and had 38/16 a/to.
I'd post this elsewhere but I kind of enjoy the angst generated among some over there over the fact that Fudd hasn't put up better numbers.

It's really hard to shine as a team player when the team is a bunch of individuals balancing their own performance with the team's. That will end after tomorrow. We all know what UConn has here: a tremendous shooting guard...and team player.
