I don't doubt that South Carolina filled up the arena with a lot of free or discounted tickets (Tennessee does that extensively). I can simultaneously upload those teams for taking steps to encourage more participation while taking pride in the fact that UConn fans are willing to pay to watch the games. I can also attest personally that the atmosphere South Carolina games reminds me of the early 90s for UConn. They are justifiably excited about moving from the middle of the conference to the top dog, and understandably proud of their team.

And, as I pointed out in the separate attendance thread, UConn plays half its games in Hartford. This may be for political reasons, though I have no idea what the attendance breakdown is. Parking is a lot harder in Hartford, but the food's a lot better. Not to mention (but I just did!) the bathrooms.... I agree that Dawn has done an amazing job at South Carolina. They are a terrifying force now, in every way.
