Lot's of video of Ciera on Youtube, still has 2 years of high school left. In 2 years she will be an absolute terror. Ok Ciera, Ashlynn, KK, Madison, say the magic words. You guys would make a GREAT recruiting class, why wait?

You guys would make a GREAT recruiting class, why wait? The only logical reason to wait would be to allow Maryland Coach Brender Frese to think she's got a chance..................... gph.is/28UX5mT

It's not often that Muffet's Midgets provide us with good news (at least not intentionally so), but, after ND offered Ciera Toomey, a poster there replied:
She and her mom have already stated that “UConn is a dream school.” She also said her mom would turn on the tv and she would watch UConn games whenever she was younger and they would be “winning a lot”. I bet money she’s going to UConn.

Well, she wants to see the facilities. I always get nervous when they talk that.

Or have D stop by to offer some french fries, and have Morgan arrange a tour of ESPN...Been a long time since Geno has broken out the big guns.

Well, she wants to see the facilities. I always get nervous when they talk that. Why? Some teams have ridiculously lavish facilities. No banners though.

Well, she wants to see the facilities. I always get nervous when they talk that. Why? Like Nika's approach. Schedules visit, then calls up an tells Geno screw the visit, I accept.

While Werth is fantastic and its proximity to the very nice student union is effective, the UConn campus is pleasant and appropriate, but there's little to make it a "wow" place (and Storr restaurants truly suck). But I think the new Olympian plaza, which seems to be situated around Werth and Gampel, should impress potential recruits. That was a brilliant stoke: a lot of bang for not much buck.

Storrs is still out the middle nowhere but if a potential recruit is putting her social life high on her list of needs and wants then it's likely she isn't a fit.
No school takes wbb as seriously as UConn. There are many P-5 games that are played in front of less than 1000 people. Recruits don't mention it much but the external validation a women gets at UConn from fans and the media must play some part in her decision.

But it's a bit myopic to say no school takes WCBB as seriously. South Carolina outdraws UConn, as do a few other schools, I think. Geno in recent years complained that attendance has fallen off. But I've definitely been to games where there are empty rows and even sections. So, yes, UConn remains the WCBB capital of the country. But it's not an absolute...and far better for the game if it's not.

The only other schools are the 2 Iowa universities. But your point is a good one. If you look at road attendance though you see that despite playing a lot of road games in small BE gymnasiums UConn leads the nation in away attendance. And attendance is one measure. UConn blows everyone else away when it comes to TV ratings. And the media that attends and reports on the team is immense compared to any other school except maybe Tenn 20 years ago.

That's a really great point. When UConn rolls into town, it's like the 1950s/1960s Yankees. Everyone shows up.
