She seems really mature and strong and plays within herself. With a year of high school ball still to play, she seems ready to start at the college level now. North Carolina will become such an attractive place for WCBB (great men's BB tradition; nice town; great climate; fantastic recruiting class already with super-promising coach; excellent conference competition). I would bet that'll be UConn's stiffest competition for her.

These are some of the best scouting reports I have ever read about a high school kid. I'm talking about the fundamentals as well as the obvious physical talent. Footwork, communication, can finish after contact, can both shoot the three and drive, stop and pop. outstanding conditioning, etc, etc. Footwork, communications skills and conditioning aren't mentioned very often. Welcome aboard Ashlynn, you already play like a Husky you might as well be one.

Never saw a prospect described as having "versatile hands", but she would be great..!! Per the article "Defensively, the write-up continues, Shade has quick and versatile hands, and her "outstanding conditioning..."

I like the thought of being able to throw shade at other teams.
