Kyla"s player development. Not sure I get it, but can't hurt, particularly with the freshman.

Kyla"s player development. Not sure I get it, but can't hurt, particularly with the freshman. Geno had an even less distinguished college basketball resume and he worked out OK. I'm of the opinion that unfulfilled dreams on the court can be a great motivation to be a great coach. Look at pro sports. Stars get coaching jobs but a large % fail as coaches. Irwin is a coach's daughter. It's been a part of her life for a really long time and I suspect is why she worked so hard at UConn with little hope of much time on the court in games.

Watching the video clip, I get the impression that it's a lot of "off the court" aspects - social skills, maturity, academic, communication - basically, helping the kids grow up, improve in life skills and maturity, while maintaining a basketball focus/balance.

My guess is that the job description list of duties ends with "and other duties as needed".
