She is really skying. Hard to see from the size of the photo, so click on it to enlarge. Cardoso gets way off the ground. She is going to be a shut-down defender for Staley (as a freshman, IIRC, she was defensive player of the year in the ACC).

Pretty tough to beat a skywalker like Boston with her Jordan-like 12 inch vertical. And after she runs for 5 minutes it drops to about 8.

I'd say that teams that rely on inside scoring are going to have a tough time against them. That group includes the entire SEC.

They will be a mighty force against UConn. Dawn's MO has been getting good players to surround and maximize a superstar. The NC they won was more talent than usual, but I felt that she was still focused on Asa Wilson and that the two transfer guards never really bloomed until the W. It will be interesting to see what she can do with this group. They should dominate the SEC, but will they? Stanford is loaded, too. And UCONN, of course. One of those three will be NC. It'll all be about focus in the easier games and playing to their the best in the critical ones.

It may come down to whoever's the overall #1, since they have got to play at most only one of the other two (in the finals) if they chalk.

I intend to not focus on the tournaments (blasphemy?) and enjoy every game, even the lopsided blowouts. I'm looking forward to playing SCar. Win or lose it will be a fantastic game.
I say bring it on.

I say bring it on. Absolutely! Nothing wrong with focusing emotions entirely on their own team and hoping contenders will just drop into the pit of Hell. We're in Puritanical New England, after all. But every so often, I look around and really admire the rich and deep talent today. And so many great coaches. If I were a South Carolina fan right now, I'd be really, really happy. Ditto a Stanford fan. And ditto a UConn fan. But I'd be also so very, very hopeful, were I a fan of 5 or 6 other teams. We don't know what NIL and the new transfer rules will do to WCBB. But until we do, this is a golden age.

It's great to have some rivalries now that ND and the Vols have dropped off the map. Now SCAR and STAN are our main rivals and that's good. And Tara is one h of a coach.
