If you're convinced that I am in Q's corner, that is entirely incorrect. But my dislike of the man is one thing, and facts are another. What we have so far, is innuendo that is serious enough that an investigation is warranted. That has begun and we can hope it will be ethically and thoroughly done and that the whole results will be summarized without damaging any of the accusers who prefer anonymity. Corroborating events ... mass departure included ... and our outside perspective of him as an bad guy ... make it easy to jump to a verdict. But even more than my distaste for the man, I despise having things played out in the media and/or political circles where 99% of the people know none of the facts. The articles posted here alone probably have already doomed his career. What other school would hire him? Even a glowing result of the investigation (highly unlikely) will not change the doubt in the minds of certain key recruits, their parents, athletic directors, etc. Meanwhile, what other career would fit such a persona? If I were accused, I would want a fair hearing. I believe that all people ... even my "enemies" ... deserve the same. |

Refusing to join the lynch party isn't the same as "sticking up for". I haven't read any comments suggesting Hillsman is innocent but many assuming his guilt. Most of those are predisposed against the man.

He's not worth arguing over, in my view. The guy is probably toast. Hopefully; they'll be a thorough investigation of the program and they'll speak with those who transferred out? I'm not a fan of their coach, but I'll wait for more data before I lead him to the freshly-sharpened guillotine .....................  ...............!!! I'm sorry, but a firing squad is too noisy and Notre Dame WCBB already is organizing theirs!! |
