Case for Nneka being included on the Olympic Roster?? With Nneka injured and presently not playing in the WNBA, Voepel still plows through her closing arguments?? Some not so subtle whining about UConn and the selection process mixed with a few bits of factual data??
Her complaint that Nneka's injury was not the reason she was excluded from the team rings hollow, but Voepel cites Taurasi's injury as a comparison? How dare you include the injured Taurasi, but not Nneka......blah to the blah de da da........?? Well; Taurasi was back on Sunday and she faced Nneka's team, but NO NNEKA?? So much for that Voepel argument? Nneka has no specific return date, but it's claimed she'll be ready before the Olympics? SHOW ME THE MONEY!!! Do we want to take a chance and put her on the team when she's got no certain return date??
If you're not a UConn Fan it's painful because they've been so dominant for so long with 11 championships and 13 straight Final Fours, but that's because they've got the best coaching staff, players and fans!! It stands to reason that more UConn Players would be on our Olympic Team than those from other schools!!!
