Hearst Conn Newspapers had a long story about Dan Hurley this morning, following him around for a day. In the article it mentions, and I was wondering about it, how summer practice works. Your allowed 8 hours a week, 4 hours on the court and 4 hours in the weight room. Hurley said they don't have time for discussions, just cover the basics, then 1-1, 2-2 etc. eventually 5-5. Done as fast as possible to squeeze as much in as they can. When fall practice starts your allowed 20 hours, and that's when the heavy duty coaching begins. Obviously the players can work out on their own, individually and as a group. It wouldn't be a stretch to assume the women do it the same way. At some point, hopefully, and I'm sure he will, Geno will sit down and discuss with the media his early impressions of the team.
