I don't get her. She seems to be an example of the adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it." The move to Texas was not a good thing and she's been bouncing around ever since.

But maybe this is a new model for the expert who doesn't want to be/isn't hireable as a head coach: to come in for one year and give some outside perspective to the head coach. It's sort of like business consulting: helicopter in, give an impartial evaluation, and leave.

When the Duke HC position opened up in March 2020 GG expressed interest in the position and the school shot her down. Now I think she's just grabbing what she can to keep herself in the ring.

I'm sure you're right, Rocky. That certainly must be her goal. That she is being hired as an ass't--a difficult position for someone who's been a head coach--means, I think, that she has to position herself as an "friendly advisor" to the head coach.

An expert like Syracuse Coach Quentin Hillsman would be extremely valuable to NASA for space station ports and intergalactic eyeglass fashion!!

Leaving Duke for Texas turned out to be a BIG mistake. Same for Joanne P McCaulie? leaving Mich State for Duke. Grass may be greener but sometimes it hides the rattlesnakes.
