Since it was a typical spring day yesterday: freezing rain, sleet, and 40 degrees. I scrolled through some of my Youtube "Likes." And found this:
Jeez, that was back in the day when I wasn't zoney. I was "kerithsguy." (LOL at justinesguy!") Since I watch SNY religiously I'm sure I saw it when it was originally broadcasted. And since I had liked it, I must have watched it on Youtube at some point years ago. It's significant. Santayana, ""Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." I thought it was eye opening to see his words about Saniya. I had forgotten that. And it led me to that miserable March 31, 2017 game and this.............why was the ball in her hands? Did she not get instructions from Geno, did she not listen to his directions, or was it something else. Yeah, water under the bridge but watch that segment and tell me in good conscience : SANIYA WAS THE ONE AND ONLY GO TO GUY FOR THAT PLAY. Geno talks about trust. And that was an issue with Stewie, MoJeff, and Tuck on the team? With Kia and Naphessa and KLS on the team? Well, that issue of trust has been an issue for a couple of years now. Rambling as usual. A rant for sure. But man, you watch that and draw your own conclusions. Please share them. I trust Geno to extract the best each player has, and the best they can put together as a team. I'm looking forward to the future, but I won't forget the past - the good, and the bad.

I'm probably in the minority here but I never had an issue with putting the ball in Saniya's hands in that situation. I always felt like she was a cold blooded killer in spots like that, like she didn't take joy in sticking the dagger in another team; it was just her nature.

I think she thought she'd draw a foul, and it was pretty close.

Saniya heroics had played a huge role late in winning close games all that season, beginning with game one against FSU. Her execution on this occasion failed, but she had earned the moment. Personally, I believe she was counting on a foul call rather than planning to score or dish late. Still would've been okay with a single stop at the other end
