Morgan vs. Tamika. Anyone skilled enough to construct a poll? No, but I reside in a state that wants to re-introduce a poll tax ................

It sounds like he picked the person and then used her resume to write the qualifications list. Once, when I was recruiting a superstar professor, I wrote the advertising language so narrowly that another prominent scholar in the field wrote me to the effect: "look, it's completely obvious that you're going to hire X, but I'm still applying...."

Poll has been created and is pinned to the top of the board.

I think Geno will hire the right person for the team and the school. Many of his former players fit the criteria, and it would not be a "virtue signal" to hire any of them.
BTW - I disagree about Morgan, am leaning more towards Tamika.
I also think he has his top three candidates in mind...just in case #1 doesn't work out. They have probably been on a list that he constantly updates.

Not to say that I think Morgan is the better candidate. Just that she fits the very specific criteria in every respect.

Didja hire the original, or the one brave enough to accompany the application with such a statement?

If Geno doesn't pick Doggy Daddy as the new assistant coach, I'm going with Morgan Valley... (deliberate attempt to lighten the mood....)

We wrote a "Bulkey" job ad once and the field saw through it and very few applied and it was a near disaster as it looked like no one wanted the post.

Remember, we're not saying who he SHOULD hire, we're just going by the qualifications criteria who he WILL hire.

So exciting. I think he knew Shea was leaving a while ago and that he picked his person a while back too. Do you remember in an interview he said he came home and Kathy was having a long conversation with someone...turns out, he said, it was Morgan. Made me realize how close they are.

It sounds like he picked the person and then used her resume to write the qualifications list. Has to be someone who works with guards, so it must be a former guard? It sounds like Morgan Valley to me too. Yes, see my prior post. Morgan is the only one who checks all the boxes - especially the criteria of working with a player who has won conference or national awards. Kelsey Plum was 2017's Paige Bueckers and Morgan was an assistant with Washington that year. Washington also made it to the Final Four while Morgan was there in 2016.. If it isn't Morgan, I will pack my bags and move to the arctic circle. Chappy, don't you dare!!!

I too think it sounds like Morgan Valley. Because of the HC thing, and Plum (and Aari, for that matter). But he will choose who he wants.
I have no horse in the race at any level. I did like that - last season (ended by Covid) - Morgan managed to get away from Hartford long enough to hang out at an Arizona game. I have no idea why, but I assure you she was there "in the flesh" being treated like royalty by fans and sitting behind the bench - various players went up to the rail and greeted her as well. Took me a few minutes to figure out who she was - and I'll add she has a certain resemblance (from a distance) to DT.

Saw a great quote from Bruce Lee today.
"Correct a fool and he will hate you. Correct a wise man and he will appreciate you."
It is in our best interests to be truly open minded and seek out opposing viewpoints. It is like the team playing a great non-conference schedule because they want to be challenged.
