Madison is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful place to live.
We spent 19 fantastic years there and at the University of Wisconsin. Quality of life is through the roof, and the people are amazingly nice.
That's why we moved back East: got really tired of nice....

We were there once for a Rutgers WBB game, not too long after the Kohl Center? opened. It wasn't a wonderful day, however. Cool, very, very wet and muddy. The parking was remote and there was a shuttle. We were early, the driver gave us and another small group (not related to Rutgers) a bit of a tour around part of campus, the old arena, and such to adjust his timing. Did I say it was muddy? And yes, we were sitting near a Wisconsin fan who was very, very friendly and filled us in on how their tickets worked and such. Haven't been back but was nearby when we visited Taliesin. Just didn't have time to do more touring. I think - from a basketball perspective - it should be a good situation. A lot of the states in the B1G have almost built in recruiting advantages. CVS spoke about it as to Iowa and Wisconsin was mentioned. Of course, there may not be a lot of local stars, but as long as you can keep them home . . .

Our last year there, it snowed/flurried in 10 of the 12 calendar months.
