6 months is going to be a long time to wait before official practice starts, but man. The future is so bright I have to wear sunglasses.
During the off season:
The ENTIRE team needs to practice shooting free throws.
Everybody needs to hit the weight room and increase their strength - including the rising sophomores and the incoming freshmen. The team as a whole tends to struggle against more physical teams. And those teams are often the teams in the top 10. They have to be able to take a punch and punch back (figuratively).
Every player needs to review the game film from this season and find the areas they need to work on individually. For as great a player as Paige is, I trust Geno when he says there are areas where she needs to improve.
I trust next season will be just as exciting, if not more, than this season. And I can't wait - all though I have no choice.

Great points!
I wonder if Geno will change things up. Probably remind them constantly that they need to get tougher, mentally and physically. But he may ratchet up the men's practice team. The one time I saw them practice together, the men were pretty much "hands off." Maybe that was just that day. Or maybe they need to let the men get a bit more physical, as well as the women-on-women practices get more physical.
Of course, there's a very, very fine line between making practices tougher and pushing them too hard.

Can they practice now...or what? The NCAA has about a billion rules pertaining to practice! During summer school they can have 8 weeks of practice, but no more than 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week. After that they normally go home until the Fall Semester begins and their practices normally begin during October. I think school should be finished soon for this Spring Semester and then they'll go home until Summer Session begins. 2020 - 2021 was a strange season due to changes made because of Covid. Azzi, Caroline and Amari should all be on campus sometime during June for the summer classes. BTW....they can do things on their own between now and the end of this semester, but they're probably getting ready for exams and term papers. Here's some of the NCAA Rules: 17.1.7.2.1.5.1 Basketball. In basketball, a student-athlete who is enrolled in summer school may engage in required weight-training, conditioning and skill-related instruction for up to eight weeks (not required to be consecutive weeks). A student-athlete who is enrolled in at least three degree-applicable (pursuant to Bylaw 14.4.3.1.7) credit hours in one summer term that is fewer than eight weeks in duration may engage in required weight-training, conditioning and skill-related instruction for up to eight weeks (not required to be consecutive weeks). Participation in such activities shall be limited to a maximum of eight hours per week with not more than four hours per week spent on skill-related instruction. (Adopted: 1/14/12, Revised: 1/19/13, 4/28/16, 4/25/18) 7.1.7.2.1.5.1.1 Exception to Summer School Enrollment -- Academic Requirements for Student-Athletes Who Receive Athletically Related Financial Aid -- Basketball. In basketball, a student-athlete who received athletically related financial aid during the previous academic year may participate in required summer athletic activities for up to eight weeks (pursuant to Bylaw 17.1.7.2.1.5.1) without being enrolled in summer school, provided the student-athlete has achieved a cumulative minimum grade-point average of 2.200 (based on a maximum 4.000 and as computed pursuant to institutional policies applicable to all students) and has successfully completed the following academic requirements based on the applicable number of full-time terms of enrollment: (Adopted: 1/14/12, Revised: 1/19/13, 4/26/17, 4/26/17 effective 8/1/17) (a) After two semesters or three quarters: 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours; (b) After four quarters: 60 quarter hours; (c) After three semesters or five quarters: 45 semester hours or 75 quarter hours; (d) After four semesters or six quarters: 50 percent of the course requirements in the student-athlete's specific degree program; (e) After seven quarters: 58.33 percent of the course requirements in the student-athlete's specific degree program; (f) After five semesters: 62.5 percent of the course requirements in the student-athlete's specific degree program; (g) After eight quarters: 66.67 percent of the course requirements in the student-athlete's specific degree program; (h) After six semesters or nine quarters: 75 percent of the course requirements in the student-athlete's specific degree program; (i) After 10 quarters: 83.33 percent of the course requirements in the student-athlete's specific degree program; 17.1.7.2.1.5.1.3 Institutions That Do Not Offer Summer School Courses -- Basketball. In basketball, an institution that does not offer summer school courses may designate eight weeks of the summer in which a student-athlete may participate in required summer athletic activities (pursuant to Bylaw 17.1.7.2.1.5.1), provided the student-athlete has satisfied progress-toward-degree requirements to be eligible for competition in the ensuing fall term by the conclusion of the preceding spring term. (Adopted: 4/25/18)

I think it boils down to this: 1. The team can have unorganized (no coaches) play during the summer and September 2. Organized (coach-directed) practice begins October 1
Is that right?

Could some of you Nutmeggers drop by a pick up practice? Any summer BBALL. And then there is the WNBA, which will be great this year. I hope they are gearing up. The draft is on the 15th.

Given Paige's talent with social media, I suspect we'll be seeing plenty of Instagram and YouTube posts of summer scrimmages.
The way to encourage this is to get on those media and "like" them.

The problem may have been that the male practice players were removed from the program after the COVID shutdown.

The problem may have been that the male practice players were removed from the program after the COVID shutdown. That is my understanding. I don't know if there were no male practice players at Storrs, but Geno did say explicitly that he didn't have any with him in San Antonio to prepare for the physicality of Baylor. I can well imagine that they didn't have the male practice players at Storrs either.
