Geno has always said that the toughest game for him is the Elite Eight. Pre-bubble, it was the gateway to leaving the East Coast for the Final Four. But also, the competition ratchets up a lot.
I remember one Elite Eight--Bridgeport or Albany--when Geno didn't make any appearance on the court until just before tip off. I was actually worried that he was sick or something. Turns out, he had a migraine and in the presser afterwards admitted to his anxiety.
