Terrific interview with Evina and Paige. Most I have heard from Evina all year, came away impressed. She is a leader as much as Paige.

Wonderful report Thanks. Gentlemen
Happy Holidays Doggy, I'm a non-participant But am envious at seeing your family and grandchildren celebrate. My two sons are the mod type...no commitments, no kids. Maybe when I'm 85...
I pulled a Tony on the other board. Hard for me to believe that the next game will be problematic. Baylor looked very ordinary last night and didn't Kim just concede?

Happy Holidays Doggy, I'm a non-participant But am envious at seeing your family and grandchildren celebrate. My two sons are the mod type...no commitments, no kids. Maybe when I'm 85... I am here now, too. No grandchildren hasn't bothered me...until I turned 60. All of a sudden, I started longing to see our lineage expand. My oldest son I have no hope for at this point. He can barely take care of himself. For him to enter into a relationship, or have a child, would be a disaster. My younger son will, eventually, have kids I think. He is 29 and has been focused on establishing himself and his career and hasn't even been dating until recently. He does have a girlfriend now and it seems somewhat serious. She is getting ready to graduate from Loyola Marymount and begin her career with a top venture capital firm in Silicon Valley. Taking a big leap here, and assuming this evolves into a lifelong commitment, I figure I am probably 5 years away from grandchildren. For now, I have a granddoggy. I might finally meet her this summer. Sorry for the verge away from the topic at hand. Returning you to the praise for Doggy, David and Phil for a wonderful report.

Thank you. Man, is that team a joy to root for. Question, when Nika is healthy does she start or does he stick with Aaliyah?

Thank you. Man, is that team a joy to root for. Question, when Nika is healthy does she start or does he stick with Aaliyah? tough call against Baylor. Nalyssa Smith is the key player at Power forward. She is like a cross between Napheesa and Gabby. A little undersized, but athletic, quick and has a nose for the ball. Stop her from being a big factor, and we'll have a fun game. They have several other quality players, but she is the key. Evina will really have a huge challenge in our small lineup. May be tough for Anna too. Queen Egbo pairing puts two bigs on the floor. That suggests Aaliyah and Liv will be needed. However, foul troubles for any of those four players may be huge. The referees could be big factors. Let's hope for fair and unobtrusive. Carrington has solidified as a strong option, but does most of her damage in the running game. She can stick a three, though. Nika would be stopping either Moon or Didi, who will only score at the rim. Hopefully, she'll get some minutes and be able to shake off any rust.

Great, swash! Athletically speaking, maybe the best match-up against Smith might be Aubrey. But she doesn't start, and doesn't really play within UConn's offensive scheme as effectively as others. So Smith is a tweener who'll get her points. Limiting her, like they did yesterday with Clark, is how they'll approach it.

Swash, I am of a like mind. I think the height of Baylor's front court will require Liv and Aaliyah to start. It is going to be critical for Liv and Aaliyah to stay out of early foul trouble, and for our threes to fall early and often. This will pull the defense out and open up the inside a bit more for Paige and Evina to drive for the pull up jumpers.
This UConn team is playing with a ton of confidence right now. Baylor was lucky to survive. I suppose it is my UConn bias but I think the attitude of some of the Baylor players bugs me. Egbo particularly. I saw one game where every time she hit a shot in the early rounds she gave a little extra wrist action. Some players just hold the follow through. But Egbo was flicking it a few more time, kind of like a "bye bye" wave. Nalyssa had a phenomenal game yesterday. But can she do that two games in a row?
This one has me the most nervous of any game so far. But, I have to say that as of right now, my "gut" feeling is we handle Baylor and come away with the win.
