For me, any of the teams in the River Walk region are of interest. Of course! But there are other games of interest. The teams I am rooting for are in bold (does not correlate to my brackets in every case)
Starting right out of the gate at noon:
#5 Iowa vs. #12 Central Michigan (ESPN) - I will watch Caitlin Clark very carefully. Is she really "as good" as Paige as some have said? Rooting for Iowa because I think (if the brackets hold) I think a UConn vs. Iowa matchup would be entertaining.
Also at noon,
#7 Virginia Tech vs #12 Marquette (ESPNU) - Being the only other Big East team in the tournament, I will be rooting for Marquette.
At 2:00 - we get:
#3 Tennessee vs #14 Middle Tennessee (ABC) - I think Middle Tennessee has caused problems for Tennessee in the past, no? Can they pull off the upset? Oh, I do hope so!
at 4:00 - we see:
#2 Baylor vs. #15 Jackson State (ABC) - JS has no chance here...but an upset would be exciting!
At 4:30 - the matchup of interest to me is:
#5 Georgia Tech vs. Stephen F. Austin (ESPNU) - only of interest because my youngest is a GT alumn.
At 5:30 I am looking forward to:
#9 South Dakota State vs. #8 Syracuse (ESPN2) - Having lived about 30 minutes from SDSU campus I have a soft spot in my heart for all the South Dakota teams. Plus, I dislike Syracuse. But, I think Syracuse size is going to cause SDSU problems, unless they are hot from behind the arc.
At 6:00:
#1 South Carolina vs. #16 Mercer (ESPN) - Really shouldn't be much of a contest but I am interested to see how the loss of a key bench player may impact South Carolina. Going with Mercer only because I root for the underdog (unless that underdog is playing UConn, of course!)
At 8:00:
The game of most interest to me. Well, duh. #1 UConn vs. #16 High Point (ESPN). Enough said!
At 9:30:
#9 Washington State vs. #8 USF (ESPN2) - I will always root for Jose's gang! Unless they play us, of course!
Not even going to mention the 10:00 game. Well, I guess I just did. But I won't be awake to watch #1 Stanford vs #16 Utah Valley (ESPN) It will be a blow out anyway.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to say that Middle Tennessee has caused problems for Tennessee in the past. Tennessee is 21-0 against Middle Tennessee, which doesn't meet my definition of "problem".
They've only met once in postseason (1984) and that was a win by Tennessee.
It's possible you were remembering the regular-season game in 2012 which went to overtime before Tennessee pulled out the win 88 – 81.
They did have only two assists in their first round game against Middle Tennessee in 1984, setting a record low for the program, but they won easily (70 – 52) so I don't think they were worrying about the assists too much while they celebrated the win (although knowing Pat, she probably pointed it out to the team forcefully).
Middle Tennessee has a special place in that Pat Summitt's history— they were the opponent in Pat's very first game on January 10, 1975. Pat picked up her first win 69 – 32. 53 fans watched the game. (how times have changed.)

Tennessee Martin (Pat Summitt's alma mater) the Tennessee twice but in 1971 and 1972. Then back to back overtime games in 1973 but they were both wins for Tennessee. And when I say back-to-back I mean back to back one was on 2 March and the other on 3 March 1973. They lost to Union, and technically have a zero – three lifetime record against Union. I say "technically" because they played union in 2010 and 2011 and won but both of those games were exhibition. the losses were in 1975. They are 6-0 lifetime against Tennessee State. They do have 12 losses to Tennessee Tech, but the most recent one was 1977. They have a curious record against the Tennessee School for the Deaf 0-0-1. Yes they played to a 12 – 12 tie in 1909. They have a single loss against 26 wins in the games against Memphis with a single loss coming in 1979. They have two losses against East Tennessee State (plus a tie in 1925). The two losses were in 1924 in 1971. They have 23 wins. They are 6-0 against Austin Peay UT Chattanooga may be the team you are thinking of. They are 27 – 8 overall, but 2– 2 in the last decade, with a loss in 2014 and 2012. Remember that's where Wes Moore was (now the NC State coach), though he had moved to NC State in 2013, so he only gets credit for one of those wins. However it was largely his squad that won the second one. (Your memory's not so bad after all

I'm a hater. I don't want to humanize the opponent, I want Iowa to lose every time they tip it off. I am interested in seeing the Chippewas beating the Hawkeyes.

Of particular interest for me is Iowa v. Central Michigan and all because of Caitlin Clark. I would just as soon see Iowa lose, but that is probably unlikely. I, too, will be cheering on Marquette to beat Virginia Tech. I'll be rooting for South Florida over Washington St. just because I like Jose and his all european (wink) team.

Watching Marquette and Va Tech. Marquette down by 10 with 5 minutes left. They have the ability to pull it out.

Both games are back and forth.
My rule of thumb is to hope that the better team is knocked out of our bracket. :-)

Caitlin Clark is having to work really hard to keep Iowa’s lead. Every time she goes out, CMU cuts into the lead. The key to playing Iowa is to deny Clark the ball so she can’t score and can’t set up her teammates. I know, easier said than done.

Yikes, not quite 2 hours into the tournament and my bracket's busted. I didn't pick many upsets, but Marquette was one of them.

Caitlin Clark is really good. Just got my first look at her. But Iowa struggled when she wasn’t on the floor. O diminished immediately. Also Iowa plays almost no D. Iowa is the textbook example of the team that out scores it’s opponent wins.

Kelly was whistled for 3 early fouls - 2 of them ridiculous - and Central Michigan just couldn't keep up with Iowa! I think Iowa still would have won the game, but it would have been much more competitive had Kelly been able to play more early minutes!

Idaho State should be ahead by at least four more points but the can’t execute well on the fast break.

Kentucky is not playing well against the 13 seed Idaho State. 16-8 right now.

Idaho State v Kentucky is an entertaining game. ID St is a scrappy bunch.
This is the fun of the tourney. Watching teams I have never seen play before up against the teams in the top conferences.
Kentucky is settling down a bit. I suspect they win going away, but the first half has been fun.

NC State with a one point lead at end of quarter. NC A&T missed an easy pull up jumper that would have given them the lead.
For perspective, in 2019 the 16 seeds were down a lot at the end of the first quarter:
Abilene Christian down 26-3
Bethune Cookman down 29-12
Southern down 37-10
Robert Morris down 21-4
Wow, NC A&T up by 4

Factoid
SFA looking good against Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech only has 17 points of the half. I think that's the fewest points they scored in the first half this year. They had 22 points in the first half against Virginia Tech and as an interesting note they won that game.
(In full disclosure I didn't check every box score but I'll be surprised if Georgia Tech had fewer than 22 points in any of the first half of other games that I didn't check)

Announcer complaint: As time expired in the GT SFA game, a player came up limping. Not a single word has been said. All the time they were talking between end of regulation and start of OT, not a word. You could see two players helping the GT player off, you could see them working on the calf, still not a word. STILL no word. Probably just a cramp, but still.
Rant over.
