Seems the best backcourt in the nation is under performing of late.

Watched the 4th quarter. SEC games are painful. Boston gets away with a fair amount of fouling. For a while there A & M looked like they would choke it away, but steadied in the last 3 minutes.

Yeah.....Boston is like a rugby player trapped on a basketball court and she throws her weight around with no worry about fouls being called??? The entire SC defense consists mainly of smacking, poking, bumping and elbowing whomever is handling the ball for the other team??? On the all too rare occasion that a foul is called on them , Dawn screams at the officials and they miss the next 5 or so fouls to appease her??? SEC WCBB is like rugby ......

Those referees get games in the tournament, and with the San Antonio locale, they'll be close by. SEC referees rarely call a reach in or an arm slap, but they often call the "anticipatory foul" on a drive inside - always on the defense. Battling for position they let lots go except for flailing arms. I worry. Not because it is biased, but because it is familiar to SEC teams, and not to others, especially UCONN whose players are taught not to foul.

Well the good thing is that Paige really handles the ball well and keeps it away from her defenders very well!

I just do not want our guys to get hurt. Geno better be ready to scream bloody murder if they start doing us harm.

They were down by 8 with a couple minutes to go and managed to force OT, but couldn't get it done.

They were down by 8 with a couple minutes to go and managed to force OT, but couldn't get it done. I don't get to see the games, but was very disappointed. That is 2 losses for Arizona in a row (Stanford / ASU). Hate rivalry games. Arizona needs to perform well in the tourney to maintain top 16 billing, I think. As to Oregon losing, it is only surprising that they lost to Oregon State. Bad season for both of them, of course partially due to graduations.

I just do not want our guys to get hurt. Geno better be ready to scream bloody murder if they start doing us harm. I "thought" Rutgers was very physical back when I attended RU games, from the 7th row more or less behind the coaches at the RAC to various seats away, including sometimes in the comps a row or 2 behind the bench. Then 2 years ago here at Arizona we got floor seats (actually just a $100 "surcharge" for each seat). They call it "scholarship row" here in Arizona. Very comfortable unobstructed seats along the sideline, ours were next to the TV announcers. When you watch a game from that close, you realize just how physical the game is. All teams. Some much more obvious than others. But no shrinking violets allowed on the floor. I intuitively knew it - after all, one of the RU players showed off her bruises and scratch marks after one particularly brutal game in the paint (against BC of all teams). But seeing the routine contact up close is just amazing.
