I watched the game. I have to say the first half was very entertaining. I don't think it is because Iowa doesn't want to play defense that they don't, I think they can't. It's a combination of physical ability and style of play.

I'm not fully familiar with how win shares are computed. is it fair to interpret the 8.5 as saying that Paige's contributions in the 18 game she played were responsible for 8.5 wins? If so, shouldn't we say that Natasha's 8.5 when you share means her contributions are responsible for 8.5 wins in the 23 games she played? If that's true, I would argue that when shares can only be directly compared on comparable number of games, and when shares as a ratio to games is a better metric. If so, then Paige is well ahead.

I hope someone familiar with the stat can enlighten me if I got it wrong.
