Would not shock me if the powers the be in the Big East can smell a possible national Player of the Year here. The more honors and the more press the better to help that end.

Would not shock me if the powers the be in the Big East can smell a possible national Player of the Year here. The more honors and the more press the better to help that end. Not just the Big East, but even the wizards @ TOB are discussing that possibility!! Paige has the numbers or stats and she's led in the big games when her team needed her, but I see a senior bias towards the likes of Dana Evans? Paige is a much more accurate shooter than Evans, gets more rebounds, assists and steals; but Evans is a better free throw shooter. The way Paige played in the South Carolina game should shut some of the Debbiy Downers up! Paige was shadowed, bumped and jostled the entire game by Beal. She missed a few shots, but still was over 50% and she played the entire 45 minutes of the game! Paige also played good defense with 6 steals and a very solid effort! She didn't tire or let up during the overtime and gave 100% effort the entire game! If you watched her on offense, you'd see her in near constant motion trying to get open for a shot the entire game!! She's a true gamer!!

They said it's the 4th time in league history, which means Paige has two of the 4 and there are two other times. I don't know who or when. Does someone recall?

Maya is the only freshman ever to win Big East player of the YEAR, so i imagine she claimed both weekly titles at least once.
