Caitlin might not be Supergirl but man she can play. Last night against Nebraska 39 points. 12-18 fg, 6-10 on 3's, 9-9 fouls shots, 10 rbs, 7 assists. For once Iowa did win 88-81. Does the NCAA allow in season trades? Oh, they don't? Too bad. Iowa can have UCONN's 2024 recruiting class in exchange for Caitlin. You didn't think I would trade any current players or recruits, did you? Hope I can find the game on Youtube.

She might be a close second to Paige for Freshman of the Year. I have to believe either Paige or Caitlin wins that prize this year.

Clarke scores more, and her stats are stunning for a freshman. Paige does everything. Perhaps the single most incredible thing - from a long list - is that she's not a natural scorer. She's just so damned good that she can step into that role when needed - and perform at such an unbelievable level ... pretty much without any preparation other than Geno being frustrated with the rest of the offense and trying to make defenses guard her ... LOL, I'd say that has happened, no?

James Harden is a prolific scorer - never won a championship. That's what we get with Clark. She is carrying the load for an unranked 6th place team in her conference. It's all about winning and she may never get to a Sweet 16.

I thought about that after I posted. If she wanted to stay in Iowa she should have signed with I State. Better, probably much better, coach, better program, better players. It will probably be a struggle just to make the NCAA's in her career unless she get's major reinforcements.

From my point of view - I'm not a huge Iowa State fan (in the sense of thinking them "all that") - they stand out in their conference because it hasn't been that great top to bottom. He has a particular style of play and recruits to it (I suspect Clark would fit in just fine). Bluder is not a bad coach at all. And Iowa has been quite successful when they have had the horses - but probably the ceiling is Sweet 16ish. But I don't think it is that much higher for Iowa State. And that's ok.
