It together and defeats Seton Hall going away! The team is / was tired and their performance yesterday reflected that after the BRUTAL 45 minute South Carolina win! Then a little bit about Christyn's recent struggles as well: Meanwhile, Christyn Williams’ struggles continued. The junior missed all six shots she took in 25 minutes and failed to score for the second time this season. This, after she managed just six points against South Carolina on 3 of 11 shooting. “People play bad. Sometimes they just go through stuff like that,” Auriemma said. “What’s concerning is that it’s one thing if the ball’s not going into the basket, but not a lot of other stuff is happening either. I don’t know whether the shooting part is affecting the rest of her game. I don’t know what you do about that.” Williams, the team’s second-leading scorer, has more turnovers (five) than rebounds and assists combined over her last two outings. “In the huddles,” Westbrook said, “you definitely could tell that she was just not really being herself.” www.ctpost.com/sports/article/No-2-UConn-starts-slow-pulls-away-late-in-15941239.php?utm_campaign=CMS%20Sharing%20Tools%20(Mobile)&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referralI just hope she's able to pull out of this personal tailspin during their game on Friday? Maybe a quick easy lay up or a nice steal will help her mindset? Something GOOD needs to happen so she sees her glass as mostly FULL and not empty! Overcoming physical injuries or pain is hard enough; but gaming the mental side is the most difficult for all of us!!!

Great point, the idea is to win the game somehow, someway. I have to remember to remind myself that these are college kids, young college kids, going thru a pandemic. As much as I want them to look like the Showtime Lakers when they play it's just not reasonable to expect that. But, when they are really humming they do play beautiful basketball. SH was playing it's best basketball of the season and played like it for a half. UCONN was totally out of sync and yet only trailed by a point. Second half different story. Once again the adjustments made by the Wizard and the rest of the staff worked perfectly. It looks like a lot better win today than it did last night.

Tonight in Doggy's blog I write that this was actually a good win, not just lucky or close... (yes, that is a tease)

I now agree 100%. 2 straight games they really had to dig deep, not always with the same contributors and they did it. Well, except for that one certain kid. We've got Supergirl and you don't.

Massey picked the #1 team in the country to beat Seton Hall by 22.5, so less than a basket away from expectations.
