"Not her best overall game, but I guess she has set the bar pretty high."
DD nails it.
Can you imagine if I told you before the season started that he would describe her freshman scoring 23 points on over 50% shooting and hitting three of six threes as "not her best overall game"? Holy cow we are blessed.

Thanks for the kind words, although curiously I had a plan for that post and it didn't go according to plan. Oddly the Notre Dame entry was closest to my goal. I wanted to: - Explain their current situation - Identify their goal (get invited, earn a top line seed) - Summarize their remaining games - Discuss what needs to happen for them to reach the goal
My gut tells me that there may be 10 teams who think "if things go well we will earn one of the top four seeds" In some cases, they may be the only people who are thinking that, but still. Obviously, six of those teams will be disappointed.
I'll try again to write up something along those lines, but let's start with feedback regarding my first pass list of teams:
Connecticut Stanford South Carolina Baylor Oregon UCLA Maryland Louisville NC State Texas A&M
My guess is that the first name that will pop out of some of you is Oregon. Please remember I'm not asking you if you think they have a legitimate shot at a top seed, I'm suggesting they think they do. Ditto Maryland
I'm a fan of Arizona but I don't have them in the list. Obviously they plan to play as hard as possible for the rest of the season, but I don't think Adia is sitting around with your coaching staff talking about what they need to get done to earn a number one seed. I can imagine Texas A&M thinking this, even though I think they are not as strong as Arizona, simply because they only have a single loss and if they could win out, that might legitimately deserve a top seed.
are there any teams you would add to the list?

Nope. That's the max list. Nobody breaks in unless essentially everyone you have listed here suffers a simultaneous team-wide catastrophe ... at which point the tournament might become moot
