at 4:00 and then again at 8:00 she's talking about the emphasis on screens in practice. You can really see it the past 2 games especially. This is evolving into the smartest UConn offense since the Stewie years.
She has an astonishingly grounded demeanor. That's what allows her to focus only on the present. No regret for a mistake, no anticipation of what might happen if she misses, etc. Just the moment in front of her.

This is a perfect segue for something I meant to post after a prior game — maybe Marquette but it doesn't really matter.
Usually, players tap the top of the head to indicate that they want to screen. I noticed that Paige points to a spot on the floor where she wants the screen to be set. One might think that opposing coaches could exploit this, mentality to watch for Paige to do this and then you will know exactly what's going to happen next.
However, I saw Paige make that exact same motion three times during the game. One time liv set a screen, then rolled to the basket and Paige dumped it to her for an easy layin. another time, exact same motion someone set a screen but Paige drove around it for a pull-up jumper. I don't remember exactly what happened the third time but it was something different, the point being that the coach can say when Paige points someone's gotta set a screen but after that who knows, so you gotta be ready for anything which isn't all that helpful.

UCONN Players are so well spoken, it's a pleasure to listen to them.
