I really, really like Evina's game and am so grateful she's a Husky.
Evina has found ways to contribute even as she's been missing her shots, sometimes badly.
Why?
Sometimes players just go through cold streaks. But sometimes they get tired legs. Even if they can jump for ribbies, they just don't square up perfectly and shoot at the top of their jump. Evina didn't play at all last year, and maybe right now she's hitting a "valley of fatigue."
Were I coach, I'd give her the week off from practice....

Playing every other day, I am sure practice isn't much more than getting the next opponent's game plan and getting shot and free throws up. They are not going hard by any stretch this month.

I suspect she's hurting more than she's letting on. I'd rest her now to be around later.

I take your point that this season is somewhat different. But it's still tough at there (maybe not tomorrow, but generally). There are always drills and a lot of mental work. And there's 5 days between Georgetown and St John's. They will be practicing hard. So, again, I'd just give her a deep rest. But I have to say that there are times when Geno just ignores my advice.
