Kicking myself for not checking the Noble & Greenough Twitter feed before today. I checked it this evening and it has 4 videos of Caroline's scrimmages and games up on Youtube. with the link. Watched the scrimmage from today, That's the worst I've seen Caroline play. Unofficial stats, and I mean UNOFFICIAL, only 3-9 from 3 point land and 7 turnovers. To be fair she did have a triple double. Just thought I'd mention it. 29 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists. Plus 4 steals and 3 blocks. Just like she did last year, just like Saylor did last year, she does everything. Brings the ball up court 90% of the time. Plays D at the top against the other point guard, switches to defend the post. Her head is always up after rebounding or after a steal and if the defense is sleeping she will throw a rocket downcourt to a streaking teammate. She knows exactly the right play to make, when to shoot, when to drive and when to pass. She is at least as good a passer as Anna, and Anna is really good. Her turnovers were mostly on ball handling, trying to dribble past multiple defenders. She tried to go around two defenders near midcourt and got tripped and fell face first. She didn't exactly jump to her feet but she did get up without assistance and stayed in the game. You know she's gotta be thinking I could be in Storrs right now. On the other hand, she is getting to play. Saylor didn't have that chance since her High School season was canceled.

3-9 3s was not her usual I suspect. In the championship game last spring she rained 3s and only had one miss as I recall.
5 made 1 miss

Go to You Tube and type in Noble & Greenough, basketball will come up with all of their games/scrimmages this season, I believe 4 total. There are more than the four games on there so it will take a moment to sort thru, I believe JV and the boys games are in there too.

Forgot to mention they all wore masks. CD4 did hit her first 3 three pointers, no surprise there. Then 0-6. Third qtr she posted up and hit a couple of nice turnaround jumpers. several driving layups, couple of nice spin moves. So hard to to judge her play when she is so much more talented than anyone else on the court. Obviously you can use the stats but she plays like a woman among girls. Some things you don't need tough competition to see. This game aside she is a great outside shooter. She is a fine passer and totally unselfish, not afraid to take the ball to the rack, doesn't shy away from contact and just has basketball sense. With more talented teammates she will be even better.

They called the Rivers game a scrimmage on the Nobles site, one of the others was too. It looked like a regular game to me also. At least we can follow her season now. I didn't even think they were playing. I haven't heard that Azzi or Amari are playing yet. I live in Upstate NY right next to the section that Amari plays in. My section just got the ok to begin winter sports today, maybe hers will too.
