Thanks, Doggy and David! Breakfast with you is always a pleasure. Thanks for the analysis. The top 25 analysis for Thursday games much appreciated also. Sure enjoyed watching our young'un's play so well last night. Hope Aubrey and CW are ready for Marquette on Friday.

I wonder if Geno's heavy use of the freshman (other than Paige) is his effort to instill grit and greater energy in the "grown-ups". Of course the "kids" can certainly benefit from the work.

Great report, as always!
I wonder whether Aaliyah would have started if Aubrey hadn't been gimpy.
Christyn just rolled her ankle: she'll be ready by Monday. Anna is going to take some time. Perhaps she's further "down the charts" with Nika's play.
But Aubrey tried to go and took herself out. Maybe it's a small thing. But this time of year, with the more intense play and the cold weather, injuries can linger.

The Marquette game will be a very important one...one to see what happens with Geno's experiments when it's a better team.

The competition wasn't top shelf, but Aaliyah, Nika, and Mir each had their best game yet last night. The same could be argued for Paige. At this point... roughly mid season in terms of games... we have four freshman we can count upon in meaningful minutes. That's pretty staggering. And fantastic. Three starters ... two starters and first sub if you want to be picky ... were unable to contribute in this game. Show me another ranked team that can sustain roster-holes that big.

Might just give those two Friday off (or minimal minutes) to be sure. Hopefully, Nika will also be recovered from her ankle issues as well.

We can speculate on Aubrey, but she took herself out of the game. Doesn't mean she won't be ready by Monday; doesn't mean that she'll necessarily be full speed--which is her game. It might be, as they same, a game-time decision.
