Q: "What was different about being coached by Geno and your mother"
A: "Well .... my mom and I .... kind of know each other." LOL
It's nice to see candid answers. She will be taught to not keep rambling on but it's nice to see she isn't shy.

Maturity well beyond her years. The self-assessment around 7:00 is so right-on.

Thanks for posting, I'm watching and all I can think of is KLS. She does seem like a great kid. Which is what Geno said about all the 21's.

Did some research last night. Poffenberger is German and signified a citizen of Poffen. There were 5 Poffens in south central Germany. A great many Poffenbergers emigrated to the US in the mid to late 1800s.

Poffenbarger is a variant of Poffenberger which is an Americanized version of Pfaffenberger. There are at least 4 other variants of the name. Maryland has the largest concentration of Poffenbargers/Poffenbergers, followed by Ohio, Illinois and Indiana.

A great many Poffenbergers emigrated to the US in the mid to late 1800s. But what about PoffenbArgers? A, not e??? :-) There was no concept of "proper spelling" until relatively recently, when dictionaries came into wide use and schools began to teach grammar and spelling. Following the rules indicated that a communicator was well educated, and came from a "good family". That wasn't about lineage as much as it was an indication that the person would have been taught values and to be responsible ... could be trusted. ... Educated and respectable became a point of pride. The decision to educate all children (yes, it was way too long before we could agree on who shouldn't be excluded) was huge for the US. And now ... even highly educated people have little regard for grammar or diction or word choice. Everyone gets offered a free education, and too few families (alas too few teachers/administrators, too) actually value it. Nearly 90% of students enroll in some college flavor, and most end up with more debt than value for any of a thousand reasons. Meanwhile, corporate America initiates all candidate searches with... degree in xxx, even though the vast majority of the people who founded and materially contributed to their success didn't meet those criteria
