Courageous and insightful, DD. I missed the first half, but was stunned by Aaliyah's final two fouls. It seemed as if her head wasn't in the game then. As to Christyn's decision at the end, dribbling away 2 precious seconds, I wonder how much discussion there was in the huddle during the previous time out as to what to do in case of a rebound.
But Paige: it would be a travesty that, if not 1st team AA, at least 2nd team. And Evina is playing herself right into a nice high draft position. Good for her.

Thanks for soldiering on thru the disappointment, DD! At least since NCS lost as well, it may not impact us as badly as it might have. Wouldn't want to be in practice before the team leaves for DePaul. Actually, I hope they have a HUGE chip on their should for the DePaul game.

Probably only Tom Brady ever has a chip on his shoulders any more, at least he is always telling us he does. Athletes today treat the world the way the world treats them: a bit cynically.

What do we know today? Geno is correct when he says the Huskies are not good at defending and ONO and C, at least for now, cannot be counted on to deliver reliable offense. Frankly, I think what we see is what ONO and CW are. They are missing something in their chemistry.

What do we know today? Geno is correct when he says the Huskies are not good at defending and ONO and C, at least for now, cannot be counted on to deliver reliable offense. Frankly, I think what we see is what ONO and CW are. They are missing something in their chemistry. There seems to be a lack of consistent focus or intensity. I was in despair as well over Aaliyah's final 2 fouls, happening so quickly on one another and without reason. That 4th foul was a chestbutt against the dribbler, and right in front of the ref. The 5th, occurring on the very next play, was an offensive foul. Had she been able to play the rest of the game, the outcome might very well been different. Having said this, I want again to say that everyone I know at universities--kids, teachers, admins--are working at half speed at best. They say that near the summit of Everest the brain works at the kindergarten level. I think we're all working at the summit of Everest right now.
