Hope we get the NW vs. Iowa scores on the ESPN crawl during our game. Both are very interesting this season.

Love that word. Literally ... Over Full or more than sated. Learned it from a brilliant gal and study partner who happened to have a distinct lisp, and I was iffy on pronunciation and spelling until finally looking it up an embarrassingly-long while later.

I know most readers have other things on their mind but I watched this game and it's one of the more exciting games I watched this year.
My guess is many people here watched part of the game but the game wasn't over at six so may have switched over to the UConn game.
I made two predictions about this game. The first prediction I made before the game started. Virginia Tech had given NC State a scare a few days earlier, with a big lead late that NC state surpassed in the final seconds. I predicted that NC state would come loaded for bear, go out to a 20 point lead and then coast to maybe a 10 point win. That prediction obviously did not come to fruition.
As the fourth-quarter came to a close, NC State had a four-point lead with just under two minutes to go, but Virginia Tech scored seven straight points to take a three point lead with 22 seconds left. NC State inbound got fouled, but wasn't yet in the bonus. With 11 seconds left NC State took a timeout and drew up a play.
You could see the play developing. Then with about three seconds left, the point guard turned to hand the ball to a teammate who was going to take a potential tying three-pointer, but the teammate fell down just before the pass. Now with only two seconds left, the point guard needed a plan B. She saw Hobby at the top of the key. Keep in mind that Hobby is not the regular starter and was playing only because one of the regulars did not play. Hobby received the pass, and nailed a three with the buzzer sounding to tie the game.
At this point I made a second prediction. I thought Virginia Tech being so close to winning a few days earlier, and now literally a fraction of a second away from winning this one and having to go to overtime would be deflating, and NC State would run over them in overtime. Prediction failed once more. Virginia Tech scored 26 points in overtime. Remember that the overtime period is five minutes. Virginia Tech scored 26 points in the first half, so they scored as many in the last five minutes as they did in the first 20.
I'm a big fan of West Moore, but was pulling for Virginia Tech in this game. Who knows, maybe I'm allocated only one win per day and I used it for the wrong team. Should've saved iit for UConn
