I know Paige will be pretty POed if she doesn't play. I was pretty surprised that Geno sent her back in at Tenn, so I have no feel for what it will be like at Arkansas. He might start the gaame with Nika and if that isn't acceptable Paige will go in. It seems Arkansas, guard oriented, wants to run and Paige might not handle that on her ankle.
How'd she bugger her ankle? I don't think she adressed that. Putting Nika out there for pregame press might be a sly dog move on Geno's part. On the other hand if Nika starts she has a tremendous opportunity to make her bones.

No idea if Paige will start or even play. I believe Geno would love to finish the game NOT needing to play Bueckers, just to rest the ankle further. On the other hand, maybe some opportunistic subbing where she plays but doesn't start or go to long. Did I cover all the options there..?? Edit - Huge fight going on "Over Yonder" about whether Paige was "unable" to practice yesterday or just sat out as a precaution. Someone posted the dictionary definition of the word "unable." Three thoughts: 1. Some people, me included, have too much time on their hands. 2. As Allen Iverson said, "Its practice." Why would Geno let Paige practice on a gimpy ankle? Take the extra day of rest... 3. If I don't go to the Men's room today, was I unable to "go" or just didn't need to "go".

I agree that resting Paige would possibly be a good option, depending on how the game goes without her in there!! Our next game after this one is gonna be another fast paced track meet @ DePaul!!

Watch for hack-a-shaq defense on Liv and Aaliyah. Liv should never jump for anything on defense. If they ever play man to man and the team gets tired of dumping inside to the bigs, Evina and/or Paige can post up Slocum or Ramirez easily for a pass from the high post. They have no defense for Aubrey or Anna or whomever plays the four position.

Watched the first half and they are tiny measured against Tenn. If they set 2 screens I missed 1 of them. A circle of 5 shooters looking to chuck up a 3. A few run inside to try a lay up.

Pretty much what I said in my pregame report. They do a nice job of forcing the defense to foul. That is their strength.

Feeling big games from Leah and from C. Leah? You mean Aaliyah?

Yah, I started this because it seemed Geno was calling her Lea...or a two syllable word that sounds like that to me. What do you think he is saying? Happy to know.

Maybe he does call her Lea/Leah/Liyah and I have just never noticed. I was just momentarily confused. But then again, I am multitasking with work...never a good idea.
