Next week (after Easter) I'm heading to Texas. Since I'll have internet there, I will continue to post my incredibly important and insightful thoughts on WBB. Think well of me as I drive a small RV 1800+ miles. I love having my own bed and BATHROOM on board.

What model RV have you got? Happy Easter to those who celebrate. 26' winnebago outlook, 2006. 84K miles. bought it used, love it!
but it only gets 6 mpg. that sucks.
thanks for asking, Happy Easter to you, too. And mine was really nice.

The fastest street legal car in the world, the Bugatti Chiron, gets around 2 mpg, which is around 50 miles on an entire tank of gas.

Spoiler Alert: if you are watching Succession, watch the current episode tonight or the earliest tomorrow that you can. And don't listen or read about it before you do. Shocking!

Is that a NetFlix #? BTW it is projected to be 70 degrees this afternoon. The reward is flood warnings!

We are off to London tonight for a very big wedding anniversary. Looking forward to R&R in one of our favorite cities, and hopefully enjoying the coronation decorations being installed all over town. And the parks, and the gardens, and the museums. So maybe not much rest, but def relaxation. Yay that Aer Lingus once again flying from Bradley. Sure there will be lots of threads to catch up on when we come back.

(we tied. but it was great) And yes there are all kinds of fences being put up all around Buckingham Palace for the Coronation. We had nice weather while we were there. Hope the same for you.

Hey pinotbear is London still a great place to hang out in. Was in London for Diana's wedding. There for business but hung in the great throng outside the palance and saw "the Kiss". A year later back in London and checked out to find a baggage handlers strike at Heathrow. Apparently these things are well kept secrets in Jolly Old. I dropped coin and flew out on the Concorde - Concorde management handled luggage. We flew 45+ minutes late because they were 19 meals short and had to get 19 voluteers to waive the meal. A few of us gave them up double quick but the rest apparently didn't see the big picture. Daddling along on the world's fast passenger jet.

Sitting for 6+ hours in those seats, (sorry can't afford 1st class) isn't that much fun for an old man like me.
(of course I probably wouldn't be able to afford the Concorde either )

(of course I probably wouldn't be able to afford the Concorde either ) I don't fly anymore. Pretty terrible walker after that mystery stroke 13 years ago and a little paranoid about blood clots, BUT I was amazed to see a new report last week that gave a good view of how appallingly narrow the seats in coach were. Claustrophobia plus. But you'd be pretty shocked at the Concorde too. A 6 footer could not stand up in the passenger aisle, seats weren't so bad, but the fuselage was so narrow the window seat was no prize. The champagne and endless premium nuts though, hot diggity dog.

When we fly to the West Coast, we'll get upgraded seats (not first or business class), especially if we can get the bulkheads, and there's plenty of room. But no, Rocky, you wouldn't recognize air travel today. It's no fun. But coast-to-coast in 6 hrs: it beats taking a stage coach....

I'm going to the farm next week and taking the train direct to the Cuse from the Bend. It's great! I just sit down at midnight, teeth brushed, etc. and unless there is a terrible delay( which does happen!) I can have lunch with my family. And NO AIRPORTS or delayed flights and a great big seat that reclines. I really love trains.

And NO AIRPORTS or delayed flights and a great big seat that reclines. I really love trains. Have done trains a couple times - way back in 1987, NY to New Orleans with a stopover in Atlanta; again when we moved out to Tucson, returning after driving my pick-up out, and a couple auto-trains to Florida when we were following Rutgers. Obviously a much better experience than flying - since 2007 I have only flown once, to Hawai'i. I had a panic attack in a Texas airport and we had to drive home which caused me to stop. I will admit that I have agreed to fly when we finally visit Alaska in a few years, and also if we return to the East Coast for any reason. And Hawai'i. Otherwise, still no flying.

so all these comments about the wonder of flying are why I have my 6 mpg Winnebago to travel around in. My own bed and bath on board. Fridge with all my snicky-snacks and the company of my puppy dogs.
Yes, I am Arrog5nt and Spo11led.
and no, haven't fixed the shirt, yet
