Could Williams develop into the next great defensive stopper? I say yes. Gabby plays more like 6'2" than her listed 5'11"and has those long arms, quick feet & has those quick hands that deflect passes and steals balls from dribblers. I see her as a bigger version of Tiffany Hayes. Tiffany was listed at 5'10" and Gabby is listed at 5'11" but the gap between the two is a lot more than 1 inch. Offensively, Tiffany had a great spot up 3 and a great first step on the drive. Gabby has a nice low post move and her ability to elevate at the hoop makes her a great slasher. I just see Gabby as having the tools to become the next great shutdown defender for UConn. She has the speed to guard the perimeter and the size to defend the post. When I see her rare athleticism and the tenacity she plays with it just screams defense to me.
I'm not one to make predictions but I'll go with this one. By the end of next year she will be considered one of the best defenders in the country.

She reminds me of the phenomenal Tweety. She's working on her 3 ball.
