I look at the landscape of UConn fandom on the net, and frankly in the stands too, and I shake my head. It is not a good head shake. Geno has said for years we are spoiled and become chicken littles at the drop of a hat. He is right(of course he is, he's Geno). Right about now we should all be leaping up and down, because a two time national championship team has replaced 2 of the primary drivers of same and delivered a dominant season in which only a fool or total ND or MD or SC fanatic would not say our Huskies are prohibitive favorites to do the 3 peat (hope the 3peat shoe is a little more gaudy this time BTW). I am not TonyC, but I do want us all to climb aboard the Huskies' post-season train and become total, f**king fanatics. Okay? Okay? Okay!!!

Speak for yourself. I am pleased as punch. I am sad that the regular season is over. I can never get enough of UConn women's basketball.
I am looking forward to the post season where I will cheer each and every minute.
I will encourage through every mistake, and I will rejoice through every accomplishment.
That stuff you are talking about. It's not me. Period.

When I wake up, weather it's a game I am going to or watching from home, one of the first things that I think of is if there is a game or not. Gamedays just have a diffrnet feel, make work better, and have me looking at the clock counting down the hours until tip.
I know you are generalizeing and I get where it's coming from, but that's not me. I would stand the whole game and cheer like the student section if I could.
Yes we are spoiled with how much success we have had, but that doesn't keep me personally from enjoying each game and every game.

I'm just amazed at how complacent the fan base is and that there are not more TonyCes in our on-line universe. We are watching and have watched this season the evolution of a new juggernaut and its dominance is not appreciated because of what has come before. Geno readily acknowledges it is a problem of his (and CD's) creation.

Didn't say you were, but just putting it out there. I am close to as posative and confident as TonyC (or more), I just tend to keep it to myself a lot so I don't get backlash.

It's a sign of the times. A sense of entitlement, getting something for nothing, not appreciating the building process, and a huge inferiority complex (amongst the complainers).
Who amongst men would be elated at a players performance in a series of games and then condemn them after a bad game? how easily do people forget the greatness of a player after one bad game?
It's childish and stupid and lacks so, so much insight that it amazes me, honestly.
You cannot live life without expecting to have some growing pains, for example in the development of a team of late teen and early twenty-somethings. Mistakes are learning experiences. If you continue to make the same mistakes, then we have a different conversation. But if you see improvement....
As far as I am concerned, that crap can stay on the other board. the attitudes of the posters and the mods over there disgusted me truly, the pandering of those kinds of posters and the condemning of the ones who defended the players and team all for a few clicks of a mouse just...just...Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......
I gotta stay off this thread
The beauty of this team is the evolution process of the season, how all of the hard work pays off. It makes the games beautiful things to see, even if there are mistakes, there is enough great stuff to make you go "wow".

I've already internalized the next five seasons. + + + + +. For now, I just want to get Stanford, Tenn, ND and SCar. I love this team.
