 Uconn leads the AAC conference in just about every statistic, but also leads the NCAA in many as well. For example, UConn's scoring margin of 37.5 pts is #1 in WCBB. Defensively, UConn leads in blocks per game at 7.3 per and Field goal % defense at 31.9%. (That means opponents only make 31.9% of attempts.) Offensively, UConn is 1st in their Field goal % made at 53.3%, 2nd in points scored per game at 88.8 and 3rd in both 3 pt % made at 40.3% & assists with 20.6 per game. Despite all the steals, UConn is only 29th with 11.2 per game. Free throw % made is at the bottom of the list at 70%, ranking UConn 118th in the country. The AAC schedule for next dozen games of so should help beef up these stats..!! Go Huskies..!! |

I read somewhere that UConn having the top FG% players in the AAC was a reflection of how bad that conference is.
Does that hold true here as well? UConn at the top of the NCAA in so many categories......does that show how bad the NCAA is??? |

O-points per possession 1.20 Rank #1
D-points per possession 0.69 Rank #1
Uconn has the top ranked numbers for both their offense and defense on points per possession.

By the way....Temple is 308th in the NCAA in Field goal % at 35.3% and 277th in blocks at 2.5 per game. Of interest to KML, their 3 pt defense is 255th at 33.1%.... And finally, Temple is 244th is assists at 11.8 per game.

I don't know about Tonya ticking him off, but Willnett Crockett is one of her assistants and she usually could get him pretty peeved. One of the former managers is director of Basketball Ops for Temple, too. I bet there was the usual UConn reunion dinner last night! (But the hammer will still drop tonight.)
