KTY is going DOWN against #14 Oakland. That loud sound you heard was my men’s bracket exploding. Good thing I didn’t put money on it.

I don't watch the men, so this is pretty amazing. I think we are a while until we get this kind of parity in the Women's game.

Picking a favorite to win and then getting upset doesn't usually explode a bracket, Unless you pick them to go a long way. That could be the case with Kentucky — I saw a lot of buzz about Kentucky being the sleeper pick to the go all the way or at least to the final four. I bought into it, but only for one more round. I had Marquette beating Kentucky.
I also bought into the buzz that Nevada was a great upset pick over Dayton. With seven minutes remaining and Nevada up 56 – 39 it was looking like a very smart pick. Five minutes later, Nevada still had 56 points and it wasn't looking so hot. Dayton came back and one which hurt my bracket.
Still, I can't complain I'm at 89%, ahead of Stephen A. Smith, Rece Davis and Jay Bilas.
I'm sure it's happenstance but my history with brackets as I have one great day get all excited and then get stomped on the second day. Well, it's the second day. We will soon see.

I tend to live on the edge and pick some first round upsets. Duquesne worked out, but didn't pick Oakland. I wonder how many, other than Oakland fans, picked them over Kentucky?
And yes, I had Kentucky going a few rounds in.

Yale beat #4 Auburn. Break up the Ivy League! I watched the end of that game. I think I mentioned that I went to the Arizona Auburn game with a friend, while the friend is a Yale grad, so we talked about going home to watch the Yale Auburn game. He didn't sound encouraged, but watch the end of the game and gave him a call. He was through the moon.

UConn was up by 18, 30–12 at 15:46 into the game then NW outscored UConn 46-45 the rest of the way.
UConn was 3 – 22 beyond the arc but that's good news, if you can win by 17 when you aren't hitting your threes you've got a lot a potential for more scoring in the next game.
Did I do my math right? Was UConn really 26 for 32 or 81% for two point field goals? That's astonishing.

Off shooting night from three and still win handily. If Karaban and Spencer are hitting , they are pretty much unbeatable.

Just read a Coach Hurley quote that "we're bulletproof." Dang. A lot of bulletin board material for SDSU. Sometimes you wonder.....

Three out of four upsets. Sometimes it's good to be the chalk.

Huskies were pretty much smacked around the whole first half. Very few calls on SD. ST. That's why Clingan was having trouble. Couple of times Spencer almost was nearly beheaded driving thru the lane. They still score 80. Going to take a hell of an effort by the other team , officials and a very poor shooting night to take them down. I love watching them run offense.

The shocking thing is ... they really haven't played their A game yet. Shooting has been off for open shots. The stats don't show it clearly, because they also have gotten a ton of bunnies. I didn't like the times they drove and threw up a prayer, just hoping to be bailed out by the stripes. ... But their rebounding was stellar.

Wait, men play basketball too? For extra credit, how many people can identify who Meyers is quoting? (Don't give the answer away, just respond "yes" if you know, I'll let Meyers reveal later. I think several will know, but it will be new and interesting to those who don't) Ooooh!! Yes!!! Pick me!!! Pick Meeeeeeee!!!!!! 😁

Once again the guys are not playing their A game. 3 ball is not going. Clingan is doing great. They are playing hard but not getting it done. only have a 5 point lead 33 seconds to half.
my tummy doesn't like this.
they keep announcing Damask so it sounds like "dumbass"... lol

still no 3 ball, but Clingan is outrageous! Defense is excellent. They are up by 14 and the crowd is Storrs North.
25 minutes to the other side of the mountain.
Hope the guys get it done in time.

UConn has absolutely dominated the second half. Illinois couldn't hit the broad side of the barn. Something like a 30+ to nothing run by UConn in the second half. Ridiculously talented this UConn team is. The first half was an absolute anomaly.

The score was 23–23 late in first half. Then it was 53–23 before Illinois scored again.

I'm listening to Van Gundy talk about how Illinois still has a real shot. As he's talking suddenly Huskies up by 20.

I'm listening to Van Gundy talk about how Illinois still has a real shot. As he's talking suddenly Huskies up by 20. The halftime interview with the Illini head coach ... Reporter: "What adjustments will you make in the second half to handle UConn, especially Donavan Clingan?" Coach: "... We're going to do what we do. ... We'll be fine." Hmmm, that didn't age well at all.
