WHOOP THE WILDKITTENS!!! In 1926, a contest was conducted to adopt a mascot for Villanova. Edward Hunsinger, assistant football coach hit upon the nickname "Wildcats.” The name Wildcats refers to a wide variety of feral felines such as the bobcat, caracal, and lynx. Villanova's Wildcat most closely resembles the bobcat, which is found in the Southwest part of the United States. The term Wildcats is meant to convey the image of an animal that is successful in its quest to survive using its ferocious attitude, speed, agility, and alertness. The spirit of the Wildcat is embodied in all of our athletic teams. Until the late 1970's Villanova women's athletic teams were often referred to as the "Wildkittens.”Our Doggy will chase away the cat doggydaddyuconn.blogspot.com/2024/01/doggys-uconnvillanova-pregame-report.html

I read on Twitter that Maddy Siegrest will be returning to Villanova starting tonight for the rest of the year. She’s using her Covid year.

Aaliyah got hammered, and then gets called for a foul. Philly refs. Loved 'em when I lived there....

What a move by Nika! I was sure she was out of cotrol, pissed that Olsen shot a 3 over her, but it was terrific.
Two on Olsen. Refs aren't protecting the home team....This ain't the Philly that I knew and loved. :-)

Good news. Our guys are shooting 62.5%.
Bad news: 0-2 on threes.

Three second call. Haven't seen it called much this year, though there have been lots of time it should have been.

Not gettingy any seperation with Olsen sitting. On the contrary, Nova crawing back in. Really tough defense.
