Puzzles Pieces and Ayanna

We talked about this with Caroline.

There will be a point in time during the season where Ayanna should consider a redshirt if she still isn’t playing.

She missed all of the practices during the summer and the fall and has already missed 7 games. She needs to think about protecting her sophomore year of eligibility.

Loving the "eats shoots leaves" aspect of this possible double interpretation.

So, we talked about Ayanna with Caroline, huh. What did Caroline say about Ayanna? 

I have no idea what he is saying. But I do know that there are 10 healthy players. Two of them don't contribute ( Ines, Amari ). That leaves 8. At least 3 more( Paige, Aaliyah, and Nika ) are starters no matter what. That leaves two slots. They have to find the 5 players that can play together the best and utilize the rest to supplement them. What happened to the stop making excuses and play statement he made? We all know the players and talent that is missing. I like the idea of playing Q. Yes , there will be some " freshman" decisions, but she is long, athletc and is willing to score. I think they are still trying to figure out what to do with Ice , and it's problematic. For the last spot KK gives the team, energy, speed and fearlessly attacking the rim. And I think she can keep a speedy guard in front. Aubrey gives the team defense and rebounding most games, and depending on the circumstances some offense. Ashlyn looks to be a very solid and tough player on both ends. I'd like to know what exactly is the big quandry ? Not puzzle talk.

I get what you're intending. Grammatically, it can go either way. Hence the famous eats shoots leaves reference about the misplaced comma.

A panda walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air.

I think he was talking about losing Jana, and then Caroline and then Azzi. And Ayanna not being as expected on schedule ( which may well have been unrealistic from the start ).

Sounds dumb I know, but what was the nature of Ayanna's knee surgery? I don't know where I was; maybe fishing, maybe chasing that Panda.

I don't think we were ever told the details, which is to be expected I guess.

Personally , I don't understand what anyone gains with secrecy regarding the injury.

It's entirely the player's decision--not Geno's--about whether details are revealed. Comes under Federal law. 

Geno said today the knee is not responding and a more extensive surgery may be coming, with Ayanna out for the year.
