Don’t you dare Carnac!! Lol I saw that too. Not to worry, I won't. It's Nice to be missed. I was a very "active" poster (15,935 posts over 8 years) there.......but like BB king said, the thrill is gone. I "cold turkeyed" posting there. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I'm here now. I've brought my talents to the territory. I like it here. It feels like home.  I had a few posters there I was friendly with, and who I followed.....but they'll be OK without me. I wouldn't even give them the page clicks off my mouse.
This year I wanted to see the prevailing thoughts.
I swear Tom Temerity has let that site get eaten up by bots.
Maybe Tom and HuskyNON need to do a little verification and veracity testing before accepting new posters.
And oh by the way, what's up with the 17856 posts by "I'm a ND fan but here's what I think about your starting 5......."

I was not dismissed. I self exiled. I still go there to read some of the thoughts and concerns of certain posters I like, and whose opinion I respect. They were not the reason I left. I learned a long time ago how to recognize the trolls. I may or may not read their comments, and take it for what it was worth, then simply move on. I don't take trolls seriously.....never have. Once they become too obnoxious, I simply put them on ignore. Problem solved. The ignore button is a wonderful thing. |

I was not dismissed either. I quit in exasperation when they refused to let me post about Doggy's great blog. I couldn't mention it and it's the best thing to read. So ridiculous. I cold turkey'd too and really life is so much better here. Sometimes we start to have spats but they get diverted or shut down, which I like. The Nika thing was crazy for example; I hate stuff like that. But that doesn't happen very much. People here really love WCBB and know a lot about it and most of us have followed the team for years and years, so there are lots of great jokes among us. It's very cool.
But what about Ken? Can anyone PM him? I hope he's OK. I understand being totally bummed. I was and swore I'd give up for this year. But here I am again. When we lose, I'll just drop out for a while, to protect myself. That way I can actually keep going.

I was not dismissed, I just migrated over here when invited, and I have never been back. It is a much more fulfilling experience to interact on this board. I was fed up with the Nansense anyway, and Tom's obsession with clicks for revenue was dragging TOB to places not very enjoyable.
Speaking of Ken, back in the dark virus days, some of us gave an alternate contact to the Mods. It was in case one of us just kind if disappeared and we were worried about well-being. Maybe there is a way to reach out? Just in case?

I wasn't banned, dismissed nor did I quit. I still post over there all the time. It is what it is. Just like this place it has it's positives and negatives. I can live with brilliance and idiocy, either way. Mods don't particularly like me over there, but they don't hate me either. I've been able to push the envelope/rules just enough but not too much to get myself banned. (I may have been in timeout a time or two, though.) Same thing here, Mods don't like me much, but they tolerate me. (somewhat or maybe just reluctantly) I can be/am an @sshole. Comes with being a truthmonger really. Doggy was like that on TOB (what got him banned). He's mellowed out over here, become more of a shill for the board. So it's left up to me to carry the torch. Although I'll try not to burn anything down.  I like both boards. I like certain people on both boards. I tolerate certain people on both boards. They are not really that different. |

My friend, this season is not over by a long shot. You (and the admins) better hang on tight. I'm no "Carnac the Magnificent" but I can see it comin'. Me too. The ESPN board is where I cut my teeth. At that time, the board was very loosely moderated. The worst thing I saw posted there was from a rival fan hoping the UConn charter would crash and kill everyone on board. I never forgot that. That post illstrated to me just how much some fans hate Geno and UConn. That post stayed on the board for 24 hours before it was taken down. |

Assume that HN booted me off TOB for combination of posts. Never received a warning or private message. One day my logon no longer worked.
1. Some TOB members criticized Kiah Sanya Gabby. It was acceptable. But when some TOB members criticized Nurse - HN was not happy. Politely pointed that out. Not well received.
2. Some TOB members annually predicted undefeated NC. When UConn season ended with Final Four loss - some TOB members claimed UConn exceeded expectations. Politely pointed that out. Not well received.
3. Some TOB members blamed refs for UConn losses. Politely pointed that out. Not well received.
4. Some TOB members criticized players from Iowa Maryland Baylor Notre Dame Tennessee etc. But when TOB members criticized UConn players - response was "they are only 18 to 22 year kids".
5. Other examples left to the student as an exercise.
PS. Did you see the box score for this game? NMSU 40 fouls. Louisville 16 fouls.
