I live in South Bend, Ind and I'm determined to watch our team play this year and not penny pinch. I can see games on ESPN 3, but not the ones on SNY. I don't have cable, but I'm willing for the first time in my life to pay for it if I have to. But I prefer watching on my Mac.
Thoughts? Did anything change this year? What do you suggest?

Semper, I've said this before and I'll probably say it again. I moved to New Mexico from Connecticut and had to find a way to see the UConn games. I found that DirecTV has a sports package that includes SNY. With SNY, plus the other sports networks like ESPN, CBSSN, etc., I've seen every UConn Huskies game since I moved here in 2013. It'll cost a few bucks, but if you want to see the games....... I presume DirecTV is available in South Bend.

Go to the SNY website and check out the various cable/satellite providers by area if DirecTV isn't your thing. Of course, the SportsPak or whatever DTV is calling this month is a supplement package and you have to have one of their general packages to order it. I order SportsPak every November and cancel every May.

Thanks...I'm signing up next week and will let you know how it goes. This is the year NOT to be missed (not that any of the others were)..the beautiful ball we are going see is better than the ballet... I, too, feel this may be a special year, even by Husky standards, and yet, as only a true New Englander can, I feel a sense of unease about this season. That whole " too good to be true" thing. Still, if I have to have the problems of a worried fan, I'll take being a worried UConn fan.

We may loose (although in our poll I reluctantly said we wouldn't) but even if we do, there is going to be some very very gorgeous ball.

If I get this Sports Pack then, will it work on my Macair? on my iPhone? I don't have cable.

I just read the Direct TV stuff over and it seems to me that I can watch on my iPhone (connect to wifi to avoid charge) or my Macair, and that I should get the basic package and then the Sports Pack so I can get SportsNet New York (RSN). I'll try to set it up next month in time for the first game and I'll let you know. Seems I don't need cable, which is great! Thanks everybody.
