If anyone is considering a Winter vacation or otherwise what follows is some information I have gathered.
Tickets for the single UConn game are available to purchase via Ticketmaster thru the South Florida web site (athletics/women's basketball). Second level tickets in a Gampel type arena with a quirky access from what I gather for seniors. With fees around $18 a seat from my dim memory. There is also a flex plan(five games) in which the UConn game may be included that has seating behind the basket on the lower level at around $8 per game plus fees.
I purchased the single game tickets figuring the game would be a sellout and easy to sell if I come up with a better alternative. I plan to call the UConn ticket office a couple of weeks before Jan. 10th to see if I can purchase from the tickets they are provided (possibly lower level tickets). Those tickets are sold like the Final Four tickets based on doner donation. I suspect with tickets going to families and friends, faculty, and the higher rollers my chances are not too good for a nice Winter getaway. There will probably be an active ticket scalping crew working in Tampa.
