I am just trying to figure out what the priorities should be. 24-25 PG Arnold PG Bettencourt SG Shade SG Fudd SG Ziebell SF Samuel SF Ducharme SF Cheli PF Patterson PF Brady C El Alfy C Deberry It seems pretty good. I think we are are definitely trying to add an additional big. I don’t believe Imari Berry is coming. The guard situation is already looking good, extremely competitive to me. That leaves Carlton and Strong as two possibles. And there are some indicators that Uconn has registered interest in Arianna Roberson. Maybe we know we are missing out on Carlton and Strong? If we don’t get any of these players, we could look to get an international player again. Or we could try to find a Dorka in the portal. All realistic. Assuming Paige, Aaliyah and Nika are all moving on. I really like Roberson. She'll be announcing in Nov. Fingers crossed. But I'm not sure that we can disaggregate Ice and Jana just because of height differential. They will probably both start next year and be really fluid in their positions, as both have a complete court game. |

I'm really hoping UCONN can get Sarah Strong. She has guard-like shooting and ball-handling skills that of a skilled Small Forward while also possessing athletcicsm and physicality that of a very tough Power Forward.
This would seriously negate UCONN from needing another big if Jana and Ice are able to produce.99% of the teams dodn't have an elite center that is 6'6 or bigger. At 6'3 with Ice's physicality that would definitely be enough to compete on Defense and that big would have to defend her.
And Patterson as a freshman competed ok against Texas and iowa. Her health is the issue.

Here is a good one. Strong is playing against Blanca Thomas a 6'5 North Carolina recruit. I haven't watched the full video but 1/2 way to 2/3 way through the taller Thomas really doesn't affect Strong.

She's being heavily recruited by Harvard. That’s a real hoot. Harvard has been handling out offers even to rising juniors. When I raised this, that the Ivies 1 don’t give athletic scholarships and 2 don’t accept before senior year, I was told there’s an exception for athletes! Seriously??? |

If strong went to Harvard that would be one of the most surprising commitments ever. +1 The only Ivy that a WCBB player with pro aspirations might go to is Princeton. They've had a couple the past few years, plus the men's team had one back in the 60s who was pretty good, IIRC. |

13 year old pure PG who easily handled the Nike Nationals U17 division last week. Averaged 20.5 ppg over 7 games and dropped 25 on Exodus NYC who have Koval and Heckel from Long Island Lutheran. |
