HGN on TOB says she's been held out of preps/conditioning/scrimmage - says just held out and wants to know why. If true, so do I, but since practice has not begun, how do we tell?? I miss something? I thought she reported weeks ago that she was fine and looking forward to playing.

Samuelson will wear No. 33 and step immediately into the national spotlight with freshmen Napheesa Collier and DeJanae Boykin, just as senior All-Americas Breanna Stewart and Moriah Jefferson prepare to leave, but not before trying to win a record fourth straight – and 11th overall – national title.
"We're in the swing of things now," Samuelson said. "We are all pretty ready for the season to start. Obviously, we've never been at this level before, but we all are adjusting well to it, doing whatever we can do to prepare."

You'd think if something was going on with DeJanae that statement would not have been made. I suspect the original "reporter" was overthinking some snippets of scrimmage which did not include Boykin.

Fuller said she was being held out of pick-up games which was confirmed by Tuck. This from Fuller's blog:
With De'Janae Boykin, the third member of the freshman class, not taking part in the pickup games yet there has been plenty of attention paid to Collier and Samuelson.
"D's out right now so it kind of sucks that she is missing the early part but Katie Lou and Pheese, they are doing a great job,"
I've seen no reports of why she's not participating in pick-up games but I'm thinking it's her wrist injury.
