Wearing his Eagle's Superbowl T-shirt. He'll be happy when he gets home!
He notes how tired his kids are.

He discusses Caroline, at around 12:00, hoping for her return in 2 to 5 games. Does he ever talk about Azzi? I don't think I heard Azzi discussed at all.

I am with Geno. I don’t really follow pro football. Except I was hoping for the Eagles to not only win, but embarrass the 49ers. I have a coworker who is one of those obnoxious fans for his team. In this case the 49ers. He is insufferable. Looking forward to tomorrow. The team will be merciless in their “what happened to your 9ers?” You get all smug and force you rabid fan hood on other people who are not fans, you deserve to be razzed.

Did any notice the bruises on Geno's arms? Someone mentioned that Geno fell recently? I sure hope not.
He sometimes does some funny stuff at pressers recently that has me raising an eyebrow.
I'm almost glad I missed today's game (family function( but I was checking the score. Whew! That was stressful enough!
Go huskies!!

Yeah, he was counting the games off on his fingers, and one can see he's hoping for SC. Not enough, probably.

A question not asked: At yesterdays game when the first half was over Geno was intently talking to Nika, well it was more of arguing. Whatever Geno was saying Nika did not like it. It was weird to see. I wonder what the convo was about? Deep dish vs New Haven style pizza lol?!

It was weird to see. I wonder what the convo was about? Deep dish vs New Haven style pizza lol?! I thought it had to do with the final play of the half, where, IIRC (and I well may not), UConn had just enough time to get off a reasonable shot. Again, IIRC, Aaliyah traveled or something, but at the time I thought that Nika got it into to her awkwardly. These are kids playing an incredibly quick game in real time, when instincts trump planning. I concede that. But Nika was both tremendous and oddly bad at times (only a few times, but those were real howlers). Geno had to be feeling really tense at halftime, and I thought he laid into her for the angle of her entry pass to Aaliyah. Or else maybe he was saying deep dish is fun, but New Haven is real.

No contest. Wish we could get Pepe's in the mid west. The pizza is terrible out here.

I prefer a thinner crust so you can actually taste the toppings. This may be blasphemy, but I am not a fan of Pepe's. Not sure what it is about it, but when I have had it I felt like the sauce was overwhelming. I like thin crust with just a touch of sauce. Truth be told, I actually prefer white pizzas. A little garlic olive oil on the crust and then multiple cheeses and maybe a meat or veggie. I guess I have no Italian blood in me (which 23 & me has confirmed, by the way).

By the way, getting back to bball, I think one of the most AMAZING things EVER is that this particular bunch of players, half of which were thought in June to be coming off the bench, have become a top four team, and are doing it with 40 minute performances from almost all 5 of them. It is unreal, simply unreal. Has there ever been anything even approaching this. And two "generational talents" and Ice and Caroline are sitting on the bench watching it happen. All of them starters in another world at this point in the season. You can't make this stuff up!!
Edited out the word ragtag.

Small ray of hope on that....Lou Malnati's on line just launched thin crust Chicago bar pizza, which is all we ever ate back in the day back home. No deep dish nonsense for us. You know it's real Chicago bar pizza if the crust is wafer thin and it's cut in squares, not slices. Yum.

We've seen some stunning growth, effort and endurance. They can't get enough credit for all they are doing. It's great team ball, all the way.

Yeah, I wondered about that word. But really the only ones thought to be sure starters in June were Dorka and Aaliayah. And Ice was going to give them lots of rest by now, some of us thought. Would Nika have started behind Paige and Azzi? Would Aubs have started? Would Lou? Ya know? That's all I'm saying. I'll edit.

Nika got it to her. Aaliyah dribbled into the lane, stopped and tried to change direction with her dribble. The defense collapsed and stole the ball. All on Aaliyah as far as I'm concerned. She was just "off " yesterday. There was a lot of one on one play with players standing around. This is the same problem Uconn has had on every loss in recent years. Yes, they are tired, but it's happened when they' re rested too. To me it is a lack of patience running the offense. Why does every shot have to be taken between 10 and 15 seconds into the shot clock ? There is plenty of time to drop the ball into the post , pass back out and reset for better position in the post. I realize Geno wants to play an uptempo game, and I have no problem with that. But, if the opponent is dropping back to hinder Uconn's pace, then Huskies need to make adjustments. My biggest problem yesterday, was Lou jacking up shots on every possession , while everyone else stood around. Yes they are understandably tired.

Definitely don't order a white clam pizza in Tennessee or you'll be in for a rude awakening....... .......also, back away from their local 'oyster' cuisine...... ....... their hooch is amazing, however; and their meth is to die for......?

Sounds good to me. I want to rewatch it cause when your live you can miss things. I actually read some comment on Twitter from A Uconn fan that was dissapointed In Geno for those “antics”. Argh ha.

Geno had a lot of nice things to say about Dillon and the nova program. Nova is one dynamic 2/3 guard away from being a top 10 team. Olsen is a solid PG and Burke is a nice three point threat but they’re short like a LLS type.

A little garlic olive oil on the crust and then multiple cheeses and maybe a meat or veggie. I guess I have no Italian blood in me (which 23 & me has confirmed, by the way). I love them both. I appreciate the differences. Thick doesn't do justice to true Chicago Pizza. There is vastly more to good NY pizza than crust depth. In fact, the only similarities between Chicago and NY pies is the fact that both are typically round, Italian, and they share the moniker "pizza". I am not a big fan of the debate over which one is better. Nobody debates over which is better between French onion soup and lobster thermidor. They're both delicious and neither makes a good hangover breakfast. Besides, many with a strong preference may have had outstanding versions of one and weak imitations of the other. In other words, we should think twice about taking our guidance on great seafood from Kansas City or great Italian dishes from Baton Rouge. I am neither a food snob nor Italian, but my job traveled the states for years and this phrase always scared me to death, "Let's eat at ... or ... The best local restaurant is ... <Tony's> ... Italian food to die for." Like bulkey, I live in RI where Italian is the default cuisine and we have some truly fantastic Italian options. Great Italian is certainly available in lots of other places (NYC, Boston, Chicago...) but Providence is right up there. Anyway, some were good, and despite the locals' fervent adoration, some of those Italian eateries around this great land amounted to a $56/plate can of Spaghetti-Ohs with slices of kosher hot dog mixed in. Maybe shake on some extra powdered garlic. "Did I do that already? Hmmm, better add some, just in case. Maybe a little more garlic on the top...." Sigh. On a lucky day, there'd be a side of a crusty French baguette and drugstore olive oil from a can served out of a gravy boat using a tiny ladle and for dessert, a frozen tiramisu from the local grocery-store. I liken those experiences to "gas station sushi" ... from before the days of instant delivery anywhere around the country
