So far, it appears that UConn is the only D-1 school who hasn't offered her...yet. OTOH, she's 6'5" which means that semper will offer her.... Note that Harvard offered her. That's the third player who's overlapped between UConn and Harvard. What's going on here...especially as, technically, Harvard can't offer her yet.

This and Creme's head on a guillotine will make SEMPER very happy......

Hosted another big recruit this weekend. 💪 I'm thinking Vukosa has some Croatian relatives somewhere in her ancestry. Hmmm?

C'mon Nika, reel in this fish!!!! When can she start! class of 2026. She's a pretty aggressive shopper, posting instagrams announcing her various offers. I still can't figure out how Harvard allows itself to be characterized as having offered her. When I mentioned this to a Harvard insider (about a previous athlete), she contacted someone in athletics who said it had been a mistake for the athlete to characterize it as an official offer. I dunno. Maybe the Ivy League is unravelling like everything else in college athletics.

The only thing the Harvard coach is offering is a reserved spot on the team roster. The following won't apply to Vukosa as she will more than likely be the top rated big in the '26 class and be going to a top 10 BB school. During the season or summer before enrolling, if Harvard is filling 3 spots on their roster and a recruit is considered by the coach as the 4th priority, that recruit will most likely be told that she's certainly welcome to still attend Harvard for the academics but a spot on the BB roster is no longer being held for her if the roster will be filled by those 3. The Ivy schools all basically operate this way because of the flexibility of not being locked into BB scholarship agreements if a potentially better option/player materializes. This from the personal experience of a WBB player/relative at a different Ivy school.

It likely wouldn't apply to any of the 3 high schoolers who posted an Instagram "H" whom UConn is also recruiting (1 already successfully) because they are all top players. But the principle is important. The other complication is need blind admission and the lack of athletic scholarships. If a wealthy student who is a top high school basketball player applies to (say) Harvard, they may be guaranteed a spot on the team if they meet admission standards, but only if they are willing to pay their own college expenses.
