Bounce the Blue Demons!!! In 1900 the monogram "D" was selected for the uniforms of the first athletic team to represent DePaul University. As a result the nickname "D-Men" originated which eventually evolved into "Demons." The "Blue" signifies loyalty and was chosen in 1901 by a vote of the student body to combine with "Demons."

Maybe I will take binoculars to the game tonight to see if I can spot Jana behind the bench.

Not finding a live stats link for this game, likely because it was rescheduled from an earlier date. I will keep checking, though.

snowing here in CT for the first time in ages. Hope the roads are clear by the time I am ready to leave. The drive to Storrs, while not that long, is full of hills and curves. I am not too keen on driving on snow slicked roads these days.
Getting older sucks (notice the use of older, not old. I refuse to admit I am old yet.)

The longer it snows, the closer I am to deciding to not drive to Storrs. Roads don't seem bad, but temps will drop after sunset. Sitting on my couch, with my nice weighted blanket and a cat on my lap behind my laptop is sounding much more appealing. Plus, we haven't really had snow this year. I don't need to be on dark and slippery roads with everyone who have forgotten how to drive on slick roads.

Sounds like a good plan to me, Chappie - don't know if you take 84 towards Storrs, but I hear there is a 3 mile parking lot northbound towards MA just past campus exit right now.

I usually take rt 44 from Manchester. I avoid 84 as much as I can going to Storrs. Way too many accidents on days like today.

I could never put my cat through having to listen to me watch a UConn game at home where I can freely vent my frustrations. My cat would have been gone anyway after a minute.

Mine will give me the evil eye if I get too loud or move around too much. But that one it takes almost an earthquake and the house falling down around me to move once he gets comfortable. His sister is never in the room while I watch games. She is noise and movement sensitive.

A number of years ago, I gave up tickets when South Carolina was in town because of the weather. I'm still here to talk about it....

If it were South Carolina or Tennessee, or even Notre Dame I would go. I would just leave really early and hang out in the bookstore, and after the game give the crowds time to get the slick roads melted due to traffic volume. DePaul this year doesn't have the same big game feel. Though Aneesah Morrow is amazing to watch.

But I couldn't have left Providence until after 5:30 for a 7:00 tip off and would have had to take that wretched rte 6.

With Ayanna being available tonight, the bench is now three deep. One step at a time...Ayanna is back. Will Caroline be back in the next couple of weeks? I am still leaning toward Caroline not coming back this season to let the concussion symptoms fully resolve. I had a severe concussion about 12 years ago, and it took a good 6 months before I felt "right" again. Assuming I was ever "right in the head" to begin with. Never assume that...

The same 2 or 3 inches at the end of the winter, folks simply shrug and ignore. The first 2 or 3 inch storm is the onset of Armageddon....

Just reinforces my decision to stay home.
