Aubrey will probably be back to the bench when Dorka is healthy. Likely. but she's earning more minutes every game If she does go to the bench, it'll be with the understanding that she'll still get plenty of minutes. Listen to Geno's NC State postgame comments to hear what he said about Aubrey's impact; and how she creates offense out of her defense. Paired with Nika, they literally terrorized the NC State guards.

She's suffered a lot over the last 18 months and it certainly hasn't affected her play.

It might be that Lou comes off the bench because Geno wants an offensive player to come off the bench. And it is as you said, Aubrey plays so well she can’t be benched. But I am sure about Dorka because I think Geno will want more height. Absolutely on Dorka. This isn't a "6'3" and under league." UConn needs her height if it wants to contend with South Carolina and Stanford.

It doesn't matter who starts the game. The players that have it going will earn the most in-game minutes, whether they start or come off the bench. Geno does like to bring intensity off the bench at the first substitution. It can be demoralizing to the other team to have players coming in that are even more intense than those that started.
It will be interesting to see how Geno manages personnel once Dorka is back.

It'll be interesting to see on Friday whether Aubrey is still a quick starter and Lou a slow starter. That may give Geno some pause when Dorka returns.

I expect Dorka to move back to the starting lineup. When Lou is scoring the Huskies are very difficult to defend and we saw how quickly they pulled away when she started scoring. Aubrey is a great energizer off the bench on both sides of the ball. I am more concerned about Caroline at this point and how she will fit in when she finally gets to her normal self. The other day they said Caroline had only had 4 practices. Geno may well be fiddling with rotations into the new year.

Thinking past Caroline to DeBerry UTenn has a similar problem with the big with long eye lashes Except that based on past performance, she was expected to be one of the team leaders, this year. No such luck. Tamari will be okay, I suspect. Her conditioning and effort have occasionally been suspect, but she is strong and talented. I expect her to be among the block leaders by March, and she'll get a lot of rebounds. Seems right now, that nobody on her team can (or will) pass. That's seriously demoralizing. I thought Kelly was a pretty good coach, but I am starting to wonder. She's got the rah rah part, and had been drawing good recruits to Knoxville until recently. She's been luring top talent from the portal, too. But, can anyone name a player who has progressed substantially in her time at the helm? The same could be said going back to the end of Pat's tenure. Tenn is still recruiting big strong tough players, just like Pat did but they all lack Pat's ability to motivate them. Whether they can shoot, pass or handle the ball is secondary.

From the games I've seen UConn's offense is way ahead of the rest of the country and we are still waiting for 2 key pieces (Ducharme & Juhasz). That bodes well. I realized the other day that Muhl and Edwards are playing their 3rd year together and with two 5th year players (Juhasz & Senechal) UConn has a lot of experience.
