not surprised, there is some bad blood there. Don't think Mulkey treated BG well at all, and nor did Baylor. Apparently, Mulkey continues her mean treatment of former players.

Fair points, all.  But I think Kim isn't holding BG's orientation against her.  Rather, that BG said that she wasn't supported at that school and was "forced" to hide her preferences.  Kim would hate that, because those are both leveled at her leadership and acceptance ... or lack thereof.  

Not even the typical thoughts and prayers BS. Who in their right mind would want to play for her?

Those are very recent players who are not holding back. She's still doing well in recruiting and portal-trolling

There was a time that I had a great deal of respect for Mulkey, but once she stood up for rapists instead of female victims; I really doubted her character? Here's what she said in 2017 about the massive sexual assault scandal at Baylor:



During this time period, the were 52 allegations of sexual abuse made by female students and the university began a cover-up? Now here is Mulkey's phony apology in which she claimed the university was doing all it could to help the victims? That was total bull$heet?







Mulkey's contrived crocodile tears do nothing for the 52 victims she disrespected and merely paint her as phony? 

Now we have Mulkey not wanting to weigh in on the unfortunate circumstances of one of her best former player's life? But she'll weigh in on smacking people in the head for bringing up the Baylor rape culture? HYPOCRITE! Yeah; she's a good coach and a very good recruiter, but the stench of her character is overwhelming? 

BTW...if she was a great coach, she'd have gotten her team past Louisville in 2013; and she'd have stood up for both rape victims and Griner?

I don't think Kim was ever part of Geno's inner circle of bball coaching friends.  He's always been respectful of her, much the same way he is with everyone (unless he's being amusing).  BG  made Baylor and Kim famous.  That Kim is being such a dipsh1t toward her (BG) now should be a sign to all young players of Kim's character.  Witch with a B.

I'm not sure of the current pot laws in Texas but not that long ago possession of a single joint got you 10 years, mandatory. Mulkey's silence may be her just "going along" with her community's standards.

We're of course assuming that she's actually guilty. The Russians claim she possessed a few drops of oil, and she admitted to it--but was that at the advice of attorneys?
Russia has become a gulag and there are no certainties. 

We'll never know about the canisters, but the court that heard her case convicts over 98% of the accused. Some say it would be 100%, but a few bribe their way out. In any case ... this was never going to be a trial anything like we would have here.

I just wanted to raise the issue that we really don't even know whether Griner was guilty as charged, not begin a discussion of comparative justice systems. I don't want this embargoed as a political thread, because the important point here is what Kim said or failed to say.
