BTW, the girls obessession. is one serious UConn fan! I would also bet that UConn out-draws virtually all other 'visiting' teams around the country, but I don't have proof.

BTW, the girls obessession. is one serious UConn fan! I would also bet that UConn out-draws virtually all other 'visiting' teams around the country, but I don't have proof. A quick glance at last year reveals (I think) that you were 2nd to South Carolina. Had to subtract home attendance from total attendance; in the absolute UConn was 3rd in both home and total. I think the most likely reason is that the places South Carolina goes in-conference probably outdraw (considerably) the places UConn goes. I do think UConn probably gives schools their best or 2nd best attendance of the season (depending on "rivalry" games), but this would require visiting individual school sites. The generalized year by year stats are available on NCAA.com; I'm sure there were years where you led in visiting attendance, but just not up to researching; each year is a PDF booklet.

Keep in mind that "attendance" and actual admissions are 2 different things. A better number for UConn would be "total revenue generated from ticket sales", including the "gift".

I mean am I impressed that an away game at Missouri or Auburn can do better than an away game at Butler or Xavier? No, not really.
I will be honest. I wanted to go to a couple of games away from Storrs, but weather canceled my plans. I wouldn’t have that issue in the SEC.

Popularity in these days is measured by social media hits and TV ratings. SCar played in some of the most watched games this season but UConn was their opponent in 2 of those. And when we look at the stream of talent coming to Storrs nowadays it should only get better. (if the fates will it)
