He has been saying not to worry about these two recruits coming to Tennessee. He posts these smiley faces and has made it clear he has inside info that they are coming.
Today he posted this - "Keep the faith on the Angel and the rose. They have not made a decision yet. They've got a lot to think about"
Not so sure now, huh....lol.

May the orange idiots have the luck of the Irish and the same recruiting disfunction as Notre Dame where only 6 scholarship students are on the team this season........ wbbblog.com/notre-dame-womens-basketball-recruiting/Tennessee was saved by the portal for the coming season, but ND was too proud and nobody portaled their way... wbbblog.com/tennessee-womens-basketball-recruiting/

Notre Dame looking like the thinnest team ever. Can’t afford a single injury.

Thanks! it's weird they'd be that concerned. They do only have one freshman, but they can certainly run a practice....

Jumper talks like he talked to them. I certainly hope so. It would be sweet justice if Tenn's recruiting woes were due to some of their more zealous fans contacting recruits and souring whatever interest the recruit had.
Really sweet!

Tennessee can make it into the final 10 or even the final 5, but not land the player huh?
They literally offered to everyone in 2023. It's kind of pathetic they have no takers so far. Even Middle Tennessee have landed a top 100 recruit.

Even Middle Tennessee have landed a top 100 recruit. Their sales pitch is essentially... "We're still relevant... really!" On a slightly more serious side, TN is in a certain place, where that's all they have to offer. They're not good enough that top kids would go there and be willing to be bench players for a year, but they have enough (mostly portal) talent available that only a handful of incoming frosh would have a remote shot to earn a starting role. They can't point to anyone whose development has been noteworthy. No one on their roster has a rep for making teammates better ... or even look better. So, what's left? "Um... We're Tennessee!" If they don't stay at the top of the SEC this season, it's going to get a lot worse. They are picked second. Nobody expects them to overtake SCar, but LSU might beat them out for runners up. Lose a couple to Alabama and Kentucky, and presto, you're just another team.

They are all about the portal now. Who needs recruits is their mantra. Time will tell how well they mesh. I guess if you don’t run any offensive plays it doesn’t take long to get up to speed.

Velez to LSU.
Rumor is Booker to Texas.
Rosario? Not much hope in Orangeland.

There's a couple more years of grad transfers from the portal and then the COVID classes will be gone.

Tbh. LSU and Tennessee are behind Uconn right now. They are recruiting 2023 players. Meanwhile, Uconn already has that class locked up and is focusing on 2024. 😌

How long before Tenn sees that if they want to return to the top they have to look outside the Vol family. Hiring the right person and giving them the tools to succeed ($$$$$$) is the magic formula. Some schools have the resources to lure a top name (LSU) and others have found top talent in a young coach (SCar). But neither school promoted from within. It is possible that a successor can come from within but when you use an in-house pool of say 8 candidates instead of a national pool of 1200 you are setting yourself up for failure. It's obviously an unpopular opinion among UConn fans but they should remember that Geno was an outsider.

Every now and then you have to return to this hilarious classic. I know, I know we post it all the time, but I still love it:

This is especially true because Pat's last few years as head coach she was likely having short -term memory issues, and the coterie of worshipers surrounding her were afraid to doubt anything she said or did? She was their messiah and could do no wrong, but her worsening health issues made her increasingly less-effective? When she approved Holly Warlick as her heir apparent, she was already not well. Worked out great for the remaining DI WCBB Teams as Coach Warlick was average at best? A very good recruiter, but not a very effective coach. Coach Warlick's decades of Lady Vol service as a player and assistant coach made AD Fulmer reluctant to replace her sooner than he did. Why Kara Lawson wasn't hired is a mystery? I don't know if she was even offered the job, but she's much better off at Duke.
